Games Workshop reported significant growth for the six months to November 29, 2020. Revenue at constant currency was £188.2m.
Profit before taxation reached £91.6m, up from £58.6m. Basic earnings per share grew to 226.1p from 145.9p.
Sales growth was strong across all channels. Retail sales broadly followed government lockdown rules, contributing to a 26% overall sales increase.
The company maintained a controlled cost-to-sales ratio of 28%, down from 36% in 2019. The gross margin increase was driven by higher volumes.
The new Warhammer 40,000 launch broke production volume records. The company is expanding manufacturing capacity with a new factory nearing completion.
