GameSquare, a publicly traded esports and gaming organization, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Swiss vision care startup Vivior. This collaboration integrates multiple GameSquare divisions, including Complexity Gaming, Ninja Labs, and ZONED Gaming, to address the physical health challenges frequently faced by gamers, such as vision strain, poor posture, and excessive blue light exposure. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to leverage GameSquare’s reach to promote health and wellness within the gaming community.
A primary objective of the deal is the development of a health and wellness platform led by GameSquare Chief Innovation Officer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Ninja Labs. This platform will utilize gamification to encourage healthy habits, offering users rewards such as in-game experience points, digital drops, and skins, alongside real-world prizes. To promote this initiative, Ninja Labs and Vivior are scheduled to host a multi-day Fortnite tournament featuring 50 duos competing on a custom, branded map.
Beyond product development and event hosting, the partnership establishes ZONED Gaming as Vivior’s agency of record. In this capacity, ZONED will provide strategic guidance on Vivior’s go-to-market approach and product launches. Additionally, Complexity Gaming will support the partnership through content creation and promotional activities, including a joint presence at the DreamHack Dallas event. This multi-faceted agreement highlights a growing industry trend of integrating health-focused technology into the competitive gaming ecosystem.
