The collaboration focuses on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
The esports platform FACEIT, a subsidiary of the ESL FACEIT Group, has entered a partnership with publisher Krafton to integrate the mobile battle royale title PUBG Mobile into its competitive ecosystem. This collaboration focuses on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, aiming to foster a more sustainable and accessible competitive environment for mobile gamers.
The initiative centers on the launch of the PUBG Mobile Challenger Cup, which features a total prize pool of €10,000. The tournament structure includes 16 qualifying rounds beginning August 10, 2023, with the finals scheduled for September 9–10. Beyond this flagship event, the partnership introduces daily cups that utilize rotating solo, duo, and squad formats. These recurring competitions allow participants to earn platform-specific FACEIT points, which can be redeemed for in-game currency, known as UC, within PUBG Mobile.
By leveraging its established platform technology, FACEIT intends to provide a structured pathway for players to engage with one of the world’s most prominent mobile titles. While the financial terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, the move represents a strategic effort to expand the reach of professional and amateur mobile esports by providing consistent, rewarding opportunities for the player base in the EMEA region.
