Tencent’s third-quarter 2025 results demonstrate robust financial growth, characterized by a 15% year-over-year increase in total revenue to 192.9 billion RMB. This performance reflects sustained momentum across the company’s core business segments, including value-added services, marketing services, and fintech operations. The company reported a 22% increase in gross profit to 108.8 billion RMB, while non-IFRS net profit attributable to equity holders rose 18% to 70.6 billion RMB, underscoring strong operational efficiency and margin expansion.
The value-added services segment, which remains the largest revenue contributor at 95.9 billion RMB, saw a 16% year-over-year increase. Domestic gaming revenue grew by 15%, bolstered by the success of titles such as Delta Force and Honor of Kings, while international gaming revenue surged by 43%, driven by strong performance from Supercell and recent studio acquisitions. Marketing services also experienced significant growth, rising 21% to 36.2 billion RMB, supported by increased ad load and engagement across the Weixin ecosystem, particularly within Video Accounts and Mini Programs.
Fintech and business services contributed 58.2 billion RMB, a 10% increase over the previous year, with growth driven by commercial payment volumes and consumer loan services. Despite supply chain constraints regarding GPU sourcing, the business services division maintained growth in the teens, supported by cloud storage and data management demand. The company’s operational health is further evidenced by a 16% increase in total cash to 493.3 billion RMB and a disciplined approach to capital expenditure, which decreased by 24% compared to the same period in 2024. These results highlight Tencent’s continued dominance in the Chinese mobile community and its successful integration of AI-driven features across its communication and content platforms.
