Nazara Technologies reported its financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, highlighting a strategic shift toward core gaming operations and global expansion. The company achieved consolidated revenue of INR 429 crore and an EBITDA of INR 46 crore, reflecting an improved EBITDA margin of 10.8% compared to 9.5% in the prior-year period. While reported revenue declined 14% year-over-year due to the deconsolidation of NODWIN Gaming, the company’s comparable consolidated revenue grew by approximately 9%. The gaming segment served as a primary growth driver, contributing INR 275 crore in revenue with a robust 19.5% EBITDA margin.
Operational highlights include the accelerated acquisition of Bluetile and BestPlay for a fixed all-cash consideration of USD 303 million. This transaction, expected to close shortly, grants Nazara full ownership and is projected to integrate into financial results starting in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027. These entities reported a combined revenue of INR 518 crore and an EBITDA of INR 55 crore for the quarter, signaling a significant scale-up for the company’s global platform.
Leadership transitions are central to this growth phase, with the appointment of Raymond A. Stauffer as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. Stauffer is tasked with overseeing day-to-day operations and integrating AI-enabled development and monetization strategies across the portfolio. Founder Nitish Mittersain will transition to the role of Managing Director, focusing on long-term strategy and stakeholder management. Moving forward, the company intends to prioritize the integration of these new assets, the expansion of data-led user acquisition, and the development of shared artificial intelligence capabilities across its international operations in India, North America, and Europe.
