M80 Partners With Recently Launched Gamer Platform Forge

The esports and gaming organization M80 has entered into a strategic partnership with Forge, a recently launched community and rewards platform. While the financial terms and duration of the agreement remain undisclosed, the collaboration aims to integrate Forge’s platform into M80’s professional esports operations. M80 will incorporate Forge branding across its team jerseys, social media channels, and streaming platforms, while also working together to produce promotional and educational content.

As part of the initiative, M80’s professional players will serve as platform users and ambassadors, showcasing their in-game achievements and the platform’s reward features, such as in-game currency and cosmetic items. This partnership aligns with M80’s broader strategic objective to expand its presence in esports, content creation, and consumer products, following a $3 million seed funding round earlier in 2023 that included plans to develop a web3-enabled gaming division.

Forge, which officially launched its beta on October 18, 2023, is backed by an $11 million seed funding round led by prominent investors including Makers Fund, BITKRAFT Ventures, and Animoca Brands. The platform is led by industry veterans Dennis “Thresh” Fong, Kun Gao, and George Ng. This partnership highlights the ongoing trend of esports organizations seeking to leverage emerging community-focused platforms to enhance fan engagement and integrate new monetization models into their competitive ecosystems.
