KRAFTON’s February 2026 investor update outlines a strategic focus on scaling the PUBG intellectual property (IP) while diversifying its portfolio through new title development and targeted acquisitions. The company’s primary objective is to reach KRW 7 trillion in revenue and double its corporate value within five years. This strategy relies on evolving the PUBG franchise into a long-term platform, supported by aggressive investment in new, high-potential IPs and the integration of advanced AI technologies across both game development and physical robotics.
Financial performance for 2025 demonstrated robust top-line growth, with annual revenue reaching KRW 3.3 trillion, a 22.8% increase year-over-year. This growth was driven by the sustained performance of the PUBG franchise and the successful early access launches of new titles such as inZOI and MIMESIS, both of which surpassed 1 million copies sold shortly after release. However, operating profit declined by 10.8% to KRW 1.05 trillion, reflecting increased investment in production, personnel, and one-off operational costs associated with the company’s expansion strategy.
The company’s operational methodology emphasizes a "small and fast" development framework, utilizing 15 newly initiated internal projects and a parallel development system led by experienced production heads. KRAFTON is also recalibrating its M&A principles to secure franchises with core fandoms, exemplified by recent investments in studios like Unknown Worlds and Eleventh Hour Games. Furthermore, the company is positioning itself as an AI innovator, leveraging its gaming expertise to advance both in-game AI and physical AI applications. To enhance shareholder value, KRAFTON has committed to a new return policy for 2026–2028, targeting over KRW 1 trillion in buybacks and dividends, marking a 44% increase over the previous three-year period.
