GungHo Online Entertainment’s financial results for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2022, reflect a period of stable revenue generation alongside a decline in overall profitability. The company reported annual net sales of 105.5 billion yen, representing a modest 0.8% increase compared to the previous year. However, operating profit fell by 15.7% to 27.6 billion yen, and net income attributable to owners of the parent decreased by 16.9% to 19.0 billion yen.

The company’s performance was driven by its core mobile titles, most notably "Puzzle & Dragons," which maintained active user engagement through consistent updates, collaborations, and in-game events. Additionally, the MMORPG "Ragnarok Origin," managed by subsidiary Gravity Co., Ltd., contributed positively to the consolidated results following its successful launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in September 2022. Conversely, the company opted to suspend and redevelop the console title "DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE" to improve its long-term market viability.

Financially, the company remains in a strong position with total assets of 152.2 billion yen and a high equity ratio of 77.0%. Cash and cash equivalents reached 109.7 billion yen by year-end, supported by steady cash flows from operating activities. Due to the inherent volatility of the digital content industry and the difficulty in providing precise, rational earnings forecasts, the company maintains a policy of not disclosing full-year earnings projections, opting instead for timely quarterly disclosures. The company also announced a share buyback and cancellation program in early 2023 to enhance capital efficiency and shareholder value.
