The multi-year agreement integrates Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 tournament data into the GRID Data Platform.
GRID Esports and tournament organizer BLAST have entered into an expanded, multi-year partnership to integrate Counter-Strike 2 tournament data into the GRID Data Platform. This agreement builds upon an existing relationship that previously covered only Dota 2 data, effectively centralizing the data distribution for both titles under the GRID ecosystem. The partnership is scheduled to take effect in November 2024.
Under the terms of the deal, GRID will serve as the exclusive provider for BLAST’s Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 tournament data. This information will be made available to all of BLAST’s commercial partners, facilitating broader access to in-game telemetry and analytics. Beyond simple data distribution, the collaboration focuses on the joint development of new data-driven products and the implementation of integrity solutions designed to bolster the security and fairness of competitive play.
While the financial specifics of the multi-year agreement remain undisclosed, the move underscores a strategic effort by both organizations to professionalize the use of esports data. By leveraging GRID’s established infrastructure for telemetry, analytics, and monetization, BLAST aims to enhance its tournament ecosystem. This partnership reinforces GRID’s position as a primary data partner within the competitive gaming industry, supporting major titles including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, Rainbow Six Siege, and PUBG.
