GREE Holdings, Inc. reported its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, covering the period from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025. The company achieved a return to profitability, reporting net sales of 12,765 million yen, a slight year-on-year decrease of 1.4%. Despite the marginal revenue decline, the company recorded an operating profit of 1,068 million yen, a significant improvement compared to the operating loss of 133 million yen reported in the same period of the previous year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent reached 1,078 million yen, compared to a loss of 1,644 million yen in the prior year.
The company’s performance was driven by diverse results across its business segments. The Game Business, while experiencing a 13.8% decline in net sales, saw operating profit rise by 31.7% to 779 million yen. The VTuber Business demonstrated strong growth, with net sales increasing by 8.8% and operating profit surging by 142.4% to 355 million yen. The Investment Business also showed marked improvement, narrowing its operating loss to 40 million yen from 813 million yen in the previous year, supported by the sale of shares held by investment funds. Conversely, the IP Business reported an operating loss of 79 million yen, reflecting ongoing investments in new initiatives.
Financial stability remains robust, with an equity-to-asset ratio of 72.8% as of September 30, 2025. Total assets stood at 125,718 million yen, while total liabilities decreased to 32,821 million yen, largely due to a reduction in the current portion of bonds payable. Due to the volatility of market conditions impacting the Investment Business, the company has suspended the disclosure of its consolidated earnings forecast for the full fiscal year. The report also notes organizational changes, including the establishment of an IP Business segment and the renaming of the Metaverse Business to the VTuber Business to better reflect current operations.
