Take-Two Interactive Software reported strong financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, ending September 30, 2025. The company achieved total net bookings of $1.96 billion, representing a 33% increase over the same period in the previous year and exceeding internal guidance. Driven by this performance, management raised its net bookings outlook for the full fiscal year 2026 to a range of $6.4 billion to $6.5 billion.
The company’s growth was supported by a robust portfolio of titles, including NBA 2K26, NBA 2K25, Borderlands 4, and various entries in the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption franchises. Recurrent consumer spending, which includes in-game purchases and virtual currency, remained a critical revenue driver, accounting for 73% of total net bookings and 72% of GAAP net revenue. While the company reported a GAAP net loss of $133.9 million for the quarter, this reflects a significant improvement compared to the $365.5 million loss recorded in the prior year’s second quarter.
Geographically, the United States remains the primary market, contributing 61% of net bookings, while international markets accounted for 39%. Digital online channels continue to dominate the business model, representing 95% of total net bookings. Looking ahead, the company confirmed that the highly anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026. Management expressed confidence in the company’s long-term trajectory, citing the deepest product pipeline in its history and an expectation that fiscal year 2027 will establish a new record for net bookings and enhanced profitability.
