Pullup Entertainment
Focus Entertainment’s financial results for the first half of the 2021/2022 fiscal year, ending September 30, 2021, reflect a period of strategic transition characterized by significant corporate acquisitions and capital restructuring. During this period, the company reported revenue of 85.1 million euros, representing an 18% decrease compared to the previous year, alongside an operating income of 7.3 million euros. This decline in profitability was attributed to lower revenue, impairment losses on two specific game titles, and increased marketing expenditures associated with a higher volume of product releases.
The company’s balance sheet underwent substantial changes, with total equity more than doubling to 142.6 million euros following a 70.4 million euro capital increase in May 2021. Financial debt rose to 66.4 million euros as part of a new financing plan secured in July 2021. These moves supported the strategic acquisition of StreumOn and Dotemu, which expanded the group’s creative capacity. By the end of the third quarter, year-to-date revenue reached 122.3 million euros, supported by the performance of Insurgency: Sandstorm on consoles and the ongoing contribution of back-catalogue titles.
Geographically, the company maintains a strong international presence, with 94% of its revenue derived from outside its home market and 88% of sales generated through digital channels. Looking forward, the company has confirmed its full-year revenue guidance of 120 million to 150 million euros. The organization continues to focus on a robust development pipeline, including titles such as A Plague Tale: Requiem and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, while reinforcing its corporate fundamentals through expanded employee shareholding programs and enhanced CSR commitments.
