Create free account[Music] did it really generous founder my company a key design I do concept production teaching model sales production consists from all stages from from concept the old animation so reading texturing whittling sculpting whatever needs if so far ten years of experience it was quite well colorful next up I should probably some echo lights for these ahead bit do a bit of digging because they will happen in return I forgot a lot of them so I had to like go and grab all of them and have links are dead so maybe I just naturally quickly these zombies with some most problems were the little animate the guy
were twelve that his future on sketch reps who [ __ ] this was the I was saying why life it happens because the most reason one I got featured that eighty level which I respect a lot with the cover another model with Kasich you and I get some casual other like wins and contributes to certain challenges over time I was really happy about all that maybe H played a part in my becoming the piece by piece sometimes I meant for something to win and some things I just built for fun and that bikes in it one for fun one which is weird in it happens a lot after some time these things became got me there so
I started speaking mainly aimed toward design for games you know aspects of it in my experience and all things I learned working with other people so what was spirit collector conference 12:15 downloaded the game they've great career day it's not a bit to 18 which was an accident because one of the very known students could come so I was an emergency film and it went went find anyway then I was bigger and in it forum in my hometown and the last I was bigger or at GDC or sick it's that force it was never thought there were all really fun experiences so do you remember right and I often got that most popular sections of sketchfab too many to count
basically if I use enough effort more than like two days this happens I'm also aware that I do that because no one better is posting at that particular time and I had a bunch of interviews which were very caustic was so very I think so it's kind of a spiderweb of parents and I guess in these 10 years I only published one game so far mucho Suites of Heroes where I did world 3d design and somewhat through the illustrations kind of character illustrations and now I'm working on text with the galaxy which is coming soon currently and closed ion phosphate sorry you can start to interrupt are you trying to share your screen right now or
we could go back yeah we can go back from the beginning I'm sure viewers would I'll switch to my screen while you get that set up because I'm water it's like you all this guy there's no way he's memorizing all this probably he's done yeah I couldn't memorize my life I had to put it on on slides okay no that's perfectly fine just yeah if you don't mind too many to remember of course if you don't mind yeah yeah definitely see it if you don't mind kind of going through from the beginning because we will have recording of this for anyone that's missed it and so I think I think definitely but I'm
gonna switch back to your slide and we are good to go all right so this is the do screen stuff for what I was motioning the right one is dog invented so it still remains I kind of like it so these are some of the spotlights that some of you may have seen somewhere mainly on sketchfab city trade land if you go to sketch fair if you're not logged in you can see the lower left one on homepage it's also dominance was nobody over 4.4 thousand times because it's free I made it there's no kind of giving back the community sort of thing but it brought me business and brought me sort of Fame it also one situated side file of bully icon the challenge so
a lot of stuff that I do personally kind of has this effect so that it brings out stuff these are the challenges that I sort of one maybe interesting story about the can I meant the other one to win which I made specifically to be commercial at this one I did for fun because I wanted to feel something more loose and playful and I didn't plan on but that speaking stuff now this senator is and that's then I go too fast to hear me
you don't have a deal you you [Music] can you hear me for yes yes I do hear you so that was kind
of a summary of things I've been doing on enough but this is all kind of minutes to introductory data what I was meant to speak about how how it is so good to be from Eastern Europe both for Hera maybe as a flip video commercial is some things I did thing is hopefully it might help someone that that feels also lost and doesn't know where to go I also went like a gorilla way about it
[Music] [Applause] so eager so you playing through the videos you mind kind of talking through some of these experiences we don't we don't get to hear audio if you're playing off took me into into this
because majority of Maya likes this was completely out of scope it was just fun there was no way to to even know how to do any of it because I was very creative always but there was no way for me to basically sort well or do anything with [Music] the situation wasn't really full of game awareness like it is now it was all really frowned upon meaning it was a
real respected only will remember rarely people play games anyway it was only boys it's not economy was horrible jobs were scarce education was non-existent regarding that your own son channels that were really official and there was no much cool to them maybe like classical part schools no me nothing good near to what I wanted so I had no like a mouthful to look up to stand things were really isolated there was Louis so I couldn't even ask questions so I was only one hand like
just or destined to do a jobs I don't like which were all of them for generic very fast I reached like the top almost every job I was and the kind of ceiling I reached was just suffocating so I like projected for myself is am I gonna do this permissible I friend I didn't feel well so I decided I will find a way no matter what so what do I do what I hear back then was television and even though it's not really the best way to look good in the world with the lack of internet I also hear magazines so I what are magazines mainly about PC gaming and pc tech so this was that kind
of felt there was something to it even though very small number people even though they be seen it then so once I got into it I got more and more leads go to work what to do and I found about you ZBrush I mean I didn't know what the vertex is or any of this but as soon as I saw a wireframe like no I know something about it his business so I don't know what what it was exactly just pulled me and I found about zebras so again I had no idea how to get it because I couldn't buy it there was no like I had no idea
it's or what's - what to do where to ask for what it was closed off so we were very like bar Syria the nation back then only few people like an access to to burn CD yet so maybe it's interesting that actually by it's my first ZBrush and the guy who sold me to it he was weird like everybody else was like buying poorly in video games and I'm like asking for a software and maybe some tutorials he thought that was his saying but but I was really keen on learning stuff because I was curious so I started doing some stuff and I was mind blown this was the first time that I can actually it so to myself in the
three dimensions meaning what I can do what I cannot do it that I could this is the first time I could start experimenting with what can be done it would just was mind blown all the way but still I had a rhythm and there was no way to actually throw it to anyone or to do anything with it it was practically useless and just like my discs for a while to come now I felt the blood so I know I can do it and think months have passed and I thought about the internet when I was at Holland I was working as a pipe pipe Smith on on ships but we had a local Wi-Fi this is where I basically first I met with the
community like longline type or I could have actually shared my work and filled in no idea and no idea what I was doing but this was first time when I found out there are actually up sites out there so in my immediate surroundings I thought I was good but when I got the line oh boy was everyone in the same time I was really afraid to share my ideas online and I said that I wanted to because I always thought that someone's gonna steal it also we're really drilled in Balkan here they were a little negative meaning whatever you do songs not steal it from you and what did you so it was the culture where you don't
it's not desirable for you to try to hurt anything because anything will fail anyway it was also a bit scary to to go online among those real artists that I knew back then but I decided to just settle that and then not all these fears because I felt was right then I kind of felt there was a good because I'm not that wasn't the only one there so if they can do it that attempt I was barren what am I to be afraid with an average worker president so that time my friend dies so I'm thinking well what what would happen if I die who who do these artworks stay for if I had a hair watermark I used to go working with so I died I decided to remove all that I completely open myself no matter what
and this was kind of a start on my mentality bending up it was deviant at first and I still didn't have a facebook and I really didn't know about any other sites and a la carte stuff wolf from maybe not so at what point the deviantART has this function with journals where you can post the journals say whatever you need feel do ask a question and one artist named Rodrigo Vega which I followed post the journal where they need 3d artists well should be proficient at low low poly texturing
maybe even an animation and he had a list thingies are all that list I had none I had absolutely zero skills but I had some designs of spaceship suit ideas or from my own sake inst which would biomechanical kind of type and next thing that happened after I posted I posted it I literally said I don't have any of these skills but I got these designs feel free to use them in your game short and I think it was the other day I had a note from Nick their lead asking me if I would like to be a part of the team and design that race I was completely overjoyed this was incredible for me then so it was proof that I wasn't crazy and finally it was like
that like foot in the door kind of thing that all all my hopes were actually real and that was pretty much less now the thing was I had no skills right and that race was last in the road but the project was only started for dogs eternal so what are we gonna do since I'm now on the team and there's nothing to do they gave me an asset in order to so I can find out if I can reproduce that and until then I never produced anything by looking at it and I succeeded they actually went really cool so they connected me with their 3d artist Mohammed wrote the piece for Cairo and
he actually taught me how to use 3d max and Photoshop gave me the right tutorials but he also explained what was the intention behind model not just modeling as a process but stuff like it's good to have quads like necessity of a grid like where to put less word but you know he really taught me the intuitive side and how to think rebar and daddy got modeling and the process itself was easy I found on max it's the photos for the bottom on maybe less third the way of thinking took a bit longer and getting the help to corner maybe six months so it was a really slow flow bullying in the production I started with a regular working with that and this is where I first felt actual
professionalism when we met I think it was a year and a half after we started working together I mean we known each other like but the first time we met at the airport when we going to PAX East I think it was bassist first of all I forgot he went for both and it do for the best gaming a really experience I were here like a dream come true the team was awesome people I work with were great they're really a twist by now go ahead and burn your work like it's gonna be worth more the Romans the concept artist I think anyway it was amazing that lasted four and a half years I think I worked with them which
was great sadly it came to a kind of fall and they couldn't pass anymore so this was the time that I started freelancing and it was like learning how to fly all over again finally clients was something I have no idea how to do I may have sent maybe ten portfolios ever in my life and three of them were declined and others weren't even answered so I quickly gave up on the portfolio sending sting because it was sitting in a work it was really hard to find studios and my level hopes was good enough I believe not sure but also there is this thing were you ain't blind Lee at the studio because you have no idea what they're doing maybe it's still in development they
haven't released any material and it's just blind footing what I find better is just to be publicly good and let them find you this worked a lot of effort that's what I did I just made was not possible and posted online wherever I could research their media resource ahead so of course there were horror stories there was this planet which was very promising and afterward for a week climbing he was delighted he said we're gonna be the next blizzard all the praise you can imagine when it came time for the first payment luckily it's been only week basically he didn't have any money he clearly started shouting at me that I don't understand to work I do not say supply and demand when he was a little
bridge and she so can you like anyway the thing failed but I learned something very important I didn't I wasn't damaged in terms of finances but I learned a lot from death I hated to take my the way back so you know Trust his car and Trust over the Internet is garbage so I got I invented this model that I I touch in the first clients like per segment of the model if it's neural Plex like the concept I equal eyes concept and no bullet because I build everything all at once so I I asked for a payment after after high poly you know after the depends after hypo a lot pool anyway modeling part then after you raise and then of the texturing and after we gave
us a mutual trust then it can get best to per asset or monthly or whatever depending on the project depending on life more people needed there were some kind laws this is very very lot kind of warfare stuff you never know but luckily as the years go by just the kind of filters because you get to know more quality people so I got really fed up with this world client hunts so I wanted to actually create something a solid and it's as aware much larger when I was pretty willing to like work until I bleed to get that something over cool somewhere but mainly it was a Miss and I was also pretty much prepared that for the professor kind of stuff you will
have to invest at least year two or three but we got room working on anything else which will cost you opportunity and whatever not but it had to be done because I can I wanted so since I really got into it my body punished me I got csro right like it happened four years ago but this was after I was nervous and worked off too much Casillas are insane is a state of the eye where your retina goes away from the back wall or drywall and you basically have a perpetual oil oil stain on the center of your vision so you cannot see any detail you see light energy peripherals but you're pretty
much blind for everything were exact like reading numbers reading anything and the state plays less for about four or five months so I was thinking what the hell am I doing here why did I do this to myself so I started really really thinking to start working more smart and unless like just work because this model didn't it wasn't really bellick it was a very much Lipschitz teacher so I looked wider and the idea of passive income showed up so by then then we only had turbosquid I started posting there but then she reappeared and it kind of started an avalanche this was my view of a safety net along
with other stuff I just had to try it because it felt good it also gave me an opportunity to be my own boss and be creative beyond the bounds of a project which is very satisfying this initially was really slow and I I was expecting to be faster but then understood that my marketing was non-existent and there was food is not really part is friendly but two things are better later that it must be really passive but there is also price to that you have to like build your momentum over time and healthy bending stuff and it just be not but
sooner or later I got really also feedback because not also because seemingly people liked them also these new sites like teach trader they were really artist friendly and active to kill promotion because they are probably made by artists so they understand completely the African goes into it and they understand the value and the power of viewer of your name and of your image meaning you feel like a person there and if other artists see that they treat people like humans that's very well for the sites which was proven correctly [Music] this so my own desire at that point was to
just build stuff for sale a lot of models and gradually build that thing not till the point now live from it but there was a side effect the thing is that they were good and they also served not intentionally as my portfolio and many fives people bought both stuff and they saw it works and I saw it it's good so they were hiring me for their own project which was awesome because it was financially it was quicker and more lucrative and I needed also this part while I'm doing their own with the public source yeah also as I was like sharing that stuff like crazy I never
spend it and it's so much in my life before I had to do this to survive this led to inevitable when inviting took for public speaking fear in there or teaching people or whatnot which was a great surprise to me because up until now I was like a no lonely duck somewhere because no one in my immediate surroundings not even remotely cares about what nobody saw what I do my can you know I explained what I do it's so far out it's quite Michael's things I make comic books I just can explain everything you know it's a lot different now Gaming is a thing and you can talk to random guy on street about it but then not so much it kind of boomed here maybe two three years ago suddenly so what I learned on all these travels
you don't have any other people to life ask now you do but they're not not so much even though as a soul our water you must be the Creator and you have yourself to kind of our direct each which is actually great awesomest the rule of cool phenomenon just I wrote phenomena I liked it personally because it's it's proven to me to be a true this is counter to portfolio sending what I mean by this when you do something you eat one of us has some feeling of what's good or what's quality so if I invest enough time into something to the point
that I find it awesome I'm pretty sure that someone else will find it wasn't as well my reasoning about that I mean that's happened then I went into reasoning it thing is there's so much people on the planet so many different tastes that is very huge chance that there's a whole group of people that have like the same stuff as you do and this I started to literally apply this on my design any spirit to be true a lot so maybe you don't have to ask that many questions life is this good or not just be self-honest you know when you see like the new Diablo trail you know that's epic so if you can't do that you also know that you're not as I it's it's very obvious
but I think when when people ask about [Music] feedback eat I think they decide they sort of know they're off like feedback to improve themselves but but some of them are more like lazy asking like I know it's not good enough but maybe it'll pass because I don't want to do it anymore just let release it all so this just a lot of the work to speak for itself and this quote I found something I know who said bits of wood I can't ignore if that is really powerful pincher a true thing is when you do your work it's yours and only your's but when you really sit outside it's no longer just yours you're just an authoring measure love it because your work if it
becomes a part of something greater always and I was go ahead like with people email me like a year after liquid what I've done with your world it looks awesome and I'm really glad like when like a tribute it's such a way you also sometimes pick modeling games you have no idea where your model will be used like one guy made a VR bedroom just for himself use my neck wheel when I do a model I have no idea about its future use what I care about is that it's it looks good and that performs good it can it's in my interest that it works on the widest possible number of devices in Sweden is benefiting me strongly so as I look at that I it
really affects the way I build it so my main models were highly low poly as long as they keep a decent silhouette and I tend to put most of my nude elegant likes just so you can put that anywhere he still looks great no this this way optimized optimizing was also driven by the fact that when I started the store stuff I was really in a hurry and this these kind of solutions really he really felt like quality stuff then they have helped me it also helped me in the client work because then I know what I can do what steps the skill while making the final project for that awesome and also I
could include some regularity where we could share URIs or even finished pieces can still keep multiple assets original and in the same style so I managed sometimes food to shorten the work like three or four times rare cases which was awesome of course it all depends what you do when I did scores for a 3d print then not much shortcut you get but there right tool for the right job which brought me to understand how important crystal projects are I've written this because no way I could remember it but it sure helped there is this also phenomena when I do inspire design just for myself and not for a project this is where I don't have any limitations or frames I need to confine to sadly it
gave us you know you can do sometimes truly epic stuff but it doesn't fit the theme of the game or or technically it doesn't work for that specific like cinematic or whatnot and kind of pills a great portion what you have measured I'm sure a lot of concept artists and general face this problem but really it's when I do a personal project without boundaries it gets just popular enough to get me jobs where I can still invent maximum and then just rip off the maximum and the project has what they need so this kind of led me to help other people because I noticed that many artists
mainly focus on the technical aspect of how to model anything they don't look that is Kalista cailli and how things fit into a larger home and this is where I kind of like to jump in and explain stuff which reflects on a project I think in a positive way of course there are raisins and this is something I thought I never happened to me but one day my friend threw me a screenshot and so my mother's pyre it was insane I wasn't I wasn't angry at all I was a little scared but I never thought to find myself on the other side of the fence what this meant for me it wasn't
that people are stealing from something I I live from it meant that I it was like a confirmation that I'm making stuff that I'm worth feeling it's really made me really sophistical II happy and it also made me think when I remember when I ordered that zebras back in the day without internet or anything I remember how now I'm I'm proud and grateful that like I can buy my soft there's a certain beauty in it you know when you like go from the mud in and you just grow enough so you can like support yourself and do overflow and help others it's this beautiful thing also I was thinking like some my mother's like cost $20 so if someone doesn't have $20 and
has to pirate it it's probably someone who has far bigger problems in their life and I always hope it if I put to a good cause you know maybe it'll serve them for like a huge demo pitch when be maybe it will take them away from it some terrible country know maybe this person will become like my boss someday I don't know but I never I never was to set about this still if you can't buy one wealth if you like them if you will benefit from them also please do send me a link just so I can see what I did I always he'll promote what people do so many times like people who give make tutorials using these and it really he really is a great feeling when you contribute and the magic of it is completely directional just throw him
out there and let people find their own use for their pitches a lot I really love the openness of it where this I hear my own creative freedom just independent benefit happens on its own there are no strict chains of command or any other gun frustrations as far as I know so actual through perspective it's important to keep the healthy mentality greedy approach mind over matter what I mean but this is technology changes to situations in life change but it's it's always important to keep it created drive active and like on a positive direction you cannot strictly plan anything with high accuracy because times are really not really changeable
now and a lot of times you have to steer a lot but what important is that your rule is the same so you just wiggle and like don't give up don't get swayed sometimes that means not accepting an awesome job eat which will give you greater security but it will take you away from preferring Audrey may you may have stuff like this it's tricky it can sway you both positive and negative sometimes you just can't find a client you feel like inside you just have to be through it's also important to understand how to learn and when to learn and what to learn and tailor the pipeline so what does that mean pipeline is quite a procedure to get something
done and it's not fixed as it seems in general and it's really apparent on what you do and what you want for the final for the final result so how to learn what I mean by this is I never learned everything I learned bare bones of what I need and what I just allow organically the other needed knowledge knowledge to lean on to that what I really service is the right information the right type far more their general knowledge also when I learn new thing which is often dependable in a project when you go into project it will it will tell you what you need to know I don't think there's merit in learning absolutely everything and I think there is merit in to try
what I was trying to say and kind of tangent you know when I learn new things which also highly romantic like for example I know like in zbrush you you learn dynamics then do well this thing we dynamic she can't you know I do a entire project with the new thing I learned so they make sure that it sits into muscle memory because your body is far better at remembering than your mind you know a lot of times you just know where the button is you just sit and you start typing and your fingers know where the buttons are just not like you think each time where the button is and that's because you you so can program your conscious mind to such point that it knows that I think the same principle is should be applied to whatever you do is click one other thing that grew with all
these stories along is self marketing it's also important it doesn't matter what you know you feel sales of yourself top or if you get yourself employed I'm not me I don't mean like marketing like coca-cola or some kind of product what I mean here by marketing is getting yourself known not like a brand sort of like a household name but it's more about exposing who you are and how you think and what you do this is important because if it regards a lot about the trust or internet thing that I mentioned before the people like to work with good things they know it no one likes no risks so if you know what you're dealing with then you're okay then like even if
some things are missing those things can be negotiated or learnt or whatever what is important here that you what you want to do this is the most important because you want to be called for what you do and not what you do not do for example I don't do characters and I doubt know what anyone would call me for that window I can if I told her to and but I own purpose I had a lot only stuff that I truly enjoy so the thing is even since then where I didn't have any clue about magnitude I was thinking if i if i cannot succeed in thing the thing I love the most and how the hell am I gonna succeed in stuff I hate you so it is kind of I do what I think that the guts turn over to old process that is now basically just sharing work don't be
afraid almost for saying this because I know many artists that are kind of very anti on this they have this that when you're selling their soul if you do art for someone else or for even they are afraid of it will walk them so they just say I just doing this for myself and I'm like you're sitting on a pot of gold maybe you need to go out it's kind of a tribute thing but I'm just keep encouraging the movement so this is coming to an end if this is my contact email if anyone cares and these are platforms I'm on Instagram Facebook deviantART our station YouTube another level stones get fed Safeway the red bubble I've been working on this game
for about a year and a half containing mobile game should go out so keep an eye for it it's not out yet we're still seeing the test in is internal testing people some saying if I should do one I will say shoot for the moon and keep adjusting the gun strap because time to changing but that doesn't mean you should do new stuff nothing higher for stop see wherever and thank you very much for watching I hope I wasn't boring and so if anyone cares any question I'm sure I skipped a lot of stuff this was well what a gauging to set up anyway I'm open to any kind of questions and I hope someone will benefit from this oh yeah there's a reason why I keep liking
talking to you because you know and one aspect you make me feel really lazy but another aspect you're very inspirational and you kind of play against the temple of an artist as journey of being quite a lonely one you yours it's a situation on being over there in Eastern Europe there's not a lot of game development circles yes but it was complete loneliness full of walls yeah it was like stupid reality what it was yet - wish I had literally wait for the time - for internets to exist in my country and freely must invade yeah I mean it's one of those um it's always difficult I think you know the motivation is awful
definitely a part of just getting in and out of the project but I think it gives it gives artists over there that don't have the resources available to really push themselves past the average growth and it's it's amazing that you were able to kind of stick to your guns and and decided to be where you want to be but not be not be pressured into doing stuff that you don't want to do which is which is very tough to balance and like how have you been able to shoot off to do that like I've had support of course for my parents so what so it was it was all run away that keeps me going I guess I'll do it what are the changing
landscape that you are expecting he's saying that years ago there wasn't any support group now there now there is game development circles within your area do you well how do you anticipate the growth over there where you live in I expected disbanding for sure I'm gonna like say it's gonna go but I think it's gonna go well there is this oversaturation issue but they're also franchises and I still kind of believe that people can be original enough and there's enough knowledge in terms of marketing and dealing with people public relations are getting stronger it's gonna be tough but I do expect growth in
some way it's more and more easier to get into it Brett you were mentioning deviantART and I think around our age we were I think I was dependent on poly count those kind of internet communities the funny thing about the Internet it's one way to kind of stick together but it's another way to kind of keep us apart those communities I feel like those times have at least in my mind felt felt like it's been disappearing I know we have art station I know we have other ways to show off our work but that bond where it's like a small group of really frequent people that you see all the time posting and growing and then meeting them in real person or like seeing that they're applying to the same size like hey I saw that artwork like I don't I don't see that as much anymore I
don't know if your feeling is the same yes it's far less intimate and it's far more crowded yes it's more like a statistic rather than like a personal relationship so often times I don't know the Facebook I behind your artwork so if I met someone straight like I probably couldn't record recognize oh as they have decided to to somewhere publicly display themselves or Facebook or whatever but a lot of artists are introverted and they know like they have like a get on the profile page well you went through like quite a journey and you don't come off as a shy person as at all did you have any any challenges there when you were working with other people or a bigger team that you felt like an outsider actually not at all
thing is I am I am interpreted in a group that I don't feel has any commonality with with what I feel you know that I am interested in but with game devs I'm at home I never had that problem because I kind of feel that everybody's came from the same soup you know I feel like more together with you guys that with regular people what have you been seen the latest trends and this is something actually it was part of our roundtable yesterday but I kind of like to see like a global perspective on the streaming wars right streaming becoming a thing you know the internet seems like a very important aspect of you being connected with the development community how as I don't
know how Eastern Europe er is over there with technology but is it streaming gaming you nearby is that something's just like can we just get a console over here and connect through that way first we have streamers but I'm not really equated with them they're more I think they're more loved by the teenage population also because I work I really don't have time to even look at them I have no idea but they do exist that there is there is a culture of streaming here definitely well I think they they move act more like a balkan entirely like Serbia care about sky and was a handsome really daily but they function like together O'Neill's is not always conscious they're like meetups groups
sort of like it's like an influencer think mmm in here yeah and yes it's gonna grow I think or more children are exposing much more conscious into the information in general so they find like someone who can relate to doing these people so yes definitely yeah so like the last year so games like fortnight or other aspects where people who are not familiar with game development or games in general I've just been globally interested with it has that been an effect over there that people are finally understanding what you do has it been helpful and do you see it growing I don't think so
you still come here but your friends and friends I don't think the straight people do yeah people still think that games are made because you push a button and like it's computer-generated that's it yeah I don't think there's a massive insight just being in the United States the last five years like it used to be me kind of explaining myself is like yes I'm a 3d artist in the game industry that well used to be my one line and then slowly it became like oh what game did you work on it's like oh you actually know about games as art that I could tell them and then now it's more like it's less about the initial reaction of like oh you you you game test right that's the first thing that when I say I work with a mystery is like oh you're a game tester so now I'm not but now but now it's
actually oh you actually make the games it's like I don't have to explain myself as much so at least in the United States it's it's slowly the conversation is kind of turning into that so it's becoming a little easier to kind of get across to people so I imagine a c-stand year it'll take like ten years to get to that point right hopefully all the I'm seeing a shame all that matter the most yeah yeah there was there is a shape I must admit there's a huge shift well very recent why it's easy so it's very sun-like to three years ago yes yeah so that's super exciting well Igor I want to thank you so much for being a part of this and I also want to maybe if you can shift to your last slide again to how people can find you so that we can show them one last time before I see you off so as you
are starting that up I just want to remind people that we have one more speaker that's coming up and if you have questions at the end of each presentation you're welcome to kind of go the twitter chat facebook chat twitch at wherever you are watching us to ask those questions so that we can get it to our speaker so I'm gonna switch over to Igor and Igor I'm gonna hand the mic over to your left field yeah thank you so much for me like I hope so will benefit keep an eye for things of the galaxy video game and have a great day and still a great game do life I love
you [Music]
The professional trajectory of game developer Igor Puskaric illustrates the viability of self-taught career paths within regions lacking formal industry infrastructure. By leveraging personal projects and digital platforms like Sketchfab, artists can overcome geographic isolation and build international reputations. This approach emphasizes the necessity of public exposure, arguing that sharing work openly is a critical catalyst for professional growth, even when formal credentials are absent. The transition from traditional studio roles to independent freelancing and asset creation highlights a broader shift toward sustainable, milestone-based business models that mitigate financial instability and prioritize personal well-being.
A central tenet of this creative philosophy is the prioritization of high-quality, optimized asset production over the exhaustive pursuit of technical mastery. By focusing on the rule of cool—trusting individual aesthetic judgment—artists can develop a flexible pipeline that balances personal creative drive with market demands. This strategy not only generates passive income through marketplaces but also serves as a robust portfolio that attracts high-value client work. Such a model allows creators to maintain long-term professional health by avoiding the burnout often associated with traditional, high-pressure studio environments.
While the game development landscape in Eastern Europe is experiencing significant growth and increased connectivity, the industry continues to grapple with challenges such as market oversaturation and a general lack of public awareness regarding the complexities of development. Despite these hurdles, the path forward relies on persistent self-marketing and a commitment to originality. By embracing an iterative, project-based learning style and fostering a positive professional ecosystem, artists can navigate the evolving demands of the global market while maintaining a sustainable and fulfilling creative career.
