EWC 2026 Last Chance Qualifiers: Dates, Games, and Slots

The EWC 2026 Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs) constitute a tightly packed, month-long series of tournaments designed to grant teams and players a final pathway into the World Cup. From mid-April through late June, more than fifteen high-profile events across six games—including CS:GO’s IEM Cologne Major, Valorant Masters London, and LPL 2026 Split 2—offer global competitors the opportunity to secure qualification slots before the main event.

In Paris, the LCQs run from July 5 to August 10 and allocate 38 slots: 32 individual player spots and six club berths across eight titles such as Fatal Fury, EA Sports FC, Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Chess, Counter-Strike 2, and Rocket League. Each game’s window is tailored to its competitive calendar, with specific slot allocations—e.g., 14 EA Sports FC play-in spots and one club each in Call of Duty and Rocket League—ensuring a balanced representation of disciplines at the main event.

Audience metrics from 2026’s majors reveal a pronounced growth trend. The IEM Cologne Major set a new viewership record, peaking at one million viewers and achieving Stage 3 opening times 30% faster than the previous Major. Similar increases were observed at the MTC Turkiye Championship and other early-qualifier events, indicating heightened engagement speed across the esports ecosystem. These figures underscore a broader expansion of esports audiences and validate the LCQ structure as both competitive and commercially viable.
