Games Germany, an association of regional funding and networking institutions, has opened the application process for the 2026 Steam Sale. This initiative aims to increase the visibility of German-developed titles by providing a dedicated platform for studios, developers, and publishers headquartered in Germany to showcase their work to a global audience.
The program includes both a curated Steam Sale and a supplementary promotional showcase. The latter is designed to provide additional exposure through collaborations with national and international media partners, featuring exclusive content such as gameplay trailers, developer updates, and announcements across Steam, YouTube, and Twitch. Interested companies must submit their applications by March 31, 2026.
This effort builds upon the success of previous iterations, which have featured up to 360 games per event since the program's inception in 2022. By facilitating these sales and showcases, Games Germany continues its broader mission of supporting the domestic industry through funding, production guidance, and representation at major international trade events. The initiative serves as a key component of the organization’s strategy to bolster the commercial reach and professional development of the German games sector.
