SONIX, a Switzerland-based company specializing in low-latency voice technology, has entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement to acquire the brand and intellectual property of RUSH Entertainment AG. This strategic acquisition aims to integrate RUSH’s white-label esports tournament engine with SONIX’s existing voice platform. The combined solution is intended to provide content creators, game publishers, tournament organizers, and brands with an all-in-one infrastructure for managing and engaging competitive gaming communities.
The acquisition leverages RUSH’s established operational history, which includes the successful execution of over 2,500 online tournament events and the onboarding of more than 300,000 competitive gamers. While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the integration of these technologies is scheduled to occur in the coming months.
This transaction follows a period of significant financial activity for SONIX. In April 2025, the company secured approximately $2.2 million USD (CHF 1.8 million) in a funding round from undisclosed investors. This brings the company’s total capital raised to roughly $7.3 million USD (CHF 6 million). To further support its expansion efforts, SONIX also launched a crowdfunding campaign on April 15, 2025. The move reflects a broader industry trend of consolidating specialized gaming infrastructure to enhance fan engagement and streamline competitive event management.
