games. [singing] We've got three great games that we're going to play today in a Thomas Brush Let's Review Your Game. Let's critique it. Let's offer constructive criticism live stream. It's going to be a lot of fun, guys. We're going to jump inside of Steam and we're going to play some demos. We're going to play some early access games. And the best part about these live streams, and I'm going to be doing these for two weeks straight, so 14 days. Well, I'll do them on weekdays, maybe on weekends. We'll see. Um, the best part about these live streams, I'm going to play your games. So, head on over to Thomas Brushdev on X and I always post and say, "Hey guys, I'm going to play your games." And you could post your games there. And hey, I'll be playing them for 14 freaking days. It's going to be so much fun. And um let's see here. How's everybody doing? Are we good? Can you hear me? Okay. Check 1212. Hey, Foxite Bart. How you doing, buddy? [snorts] Okay. Hey, guys. Wanted to say a huge congratulations. Huge, huge, huge congratulations to some
new students who joined during the Black Friday sale. And by the way, the Black Friday sale has been going is going to be going on for, you guessed it, 14 days. [snorts] Thomas Mueller, Michael Leonard, Christopher Fitz Simmons, Michael Burstein, welcome to Fulltime GameDev. And by the way, guys, if you want to join Fulltime GameDev, this is the biggest sale. This is absolutely the biggest sale I've ever done. [snorts] Thomas, you said that last year. Well, this year it's better. It's a It's a better sale this year. Um, hey, it ends in 13 days, but you're gonna get 50% off my massive program called Full-Time GameDev. You're also gonna get 2D Art Pro, 3D art pro, YouTube gamedev, which is my course on how to do YouTube devlogs, um, and how to make a build a YouTube channel and have it grow. And then, and also monetize it. And then there's also a course called Stream My Game. Those all come free, but only for the Black Friday sale, which is just 13 days long. And there are only a 100 seats available. Well, there's less than 100 seats available. Um, let me check double check something
here. Make sure this is working properly. Yeah, there we go. So, yeah, there's less than 100 seats available. So, check it out below. You might be wondering what what the heck is full-time gamedev and why should I listen to this weird YouTuber. Um, well, I'm a I'm a a shill and I don't know what I'm talking about and you should buy my course. No, of course that's not true. What's true is I've been making games for the last 15 years. I've been published three times. I'm currently published by 3D Realms, working on my last game or my my latest game. I I don't know, maybe it is my last game. My latest game, Twisted Tower. So, I know how to find funding with publishers. So, I want to teach you how to do that. I know how to find funding on Kickstarter. I've done that twice. Basically, raising $100,000 on Kickstarter each time. Um, I know how to do that. So, I'm going to teach you how to do crowdfunding. I'm going to teach you how to get press coverage. Um, I've been covered by PC Gamer. I've been covered by Time Magazine, Washington Post, you name it. Uh, I could teach you how to get streamers to play your game. I've done that. Matt Pat played my game. Gamer Grumps played my game. Jack Septic Guy played my game. How to how to how to actually finish a
game and stay motivated. Whether it's 2D, 3D, whether it's Unity, GDAU, Unreal, this is a massive course that teaches you pretty much everything you need to know to build a game studio from your bedroom. On top of that, again, you're going to get my 2D art courses, my 3D art courses, my YouTube courses, completely free. If you're on the fence about gamedev, but you're thinking maybe, maybe, just maybe, you want to make 2026 the year where you get into gamedev and you start building an indie game studio and follow your dreams. This is absolutely the time to check out this course because it's it's a big disappoint discount. In fact, I was I was wondering this morning. I was like, is this too much? It might be too much. And the reason why I say that is because sometimes you can sort of cannibalize your courses by doing too big of a discount. But it is what it is. So feel free to check it out below. See if it's something you're interested in. And I'll give you a shout out tomorrow in tomorrow's live streams stream if you join today. Um anyway, let's jump inside of Unity. Uh some of you are probably
wondering, Thomas, why are you selling courses? Well, I always sell course. I've been selling courses for four years. Um, but I in particular courses are helpful this year because I am on Twisted Tower's sort of last I would say last 5% of development and I have burned through all of the funding. So the funding is gone in terms of what 3D Realms paid up. It's burned through. So I'm finding funding elsewhere. YouTube is a great place to do it. So thank you guys. Huge huge thank you for those of you who uh who do join uh the course. It just means so much to me and helps support the last leg of development. All right, let's jump inside of Unity or not Unity Steam. Hey Stone, how you doing? Come on in, guys. Um let me double check here. So, first off, guys, I want to say this. Um look at all these incredible um posts for uh Hold on one sec here.
Where is it? I wanted to show you all the games that were submitted. Yeah, check it out. So many games. I was surprised. 98 comments here of just game after game after game after game. It's so many of them look awesome. So many of them look so cool. So, if you want to submit your games for the next, you know, 14 days when I'm going to be doing these live streams, um, follow me at Thomas Brushdev, would I suggest participating in Steam NextFest? Of course, NextFest is amazing. Nextfest is a great way to get wish lists. I think NextFest, it's hard to know, but the demo launch of Twisted Tower and also NextFest happened within the same month and ended up getting like 50,000 to 60,000 additional wish lists. It's hard to know where they all came from, but NextFest really, really helped, it appears. Um,
okay, you guys want to jump into our first game? The first game we're going to play today is called the Berlin Apartment. the Berlin Apartment. I really like this game. Um, if you guys are looking for me to play some Friend slop, I'm probably not going to do it. Not that I'm opposed to it. I just don't like it. Um, but I want I saw this game. I was like, this looks like a really cozy, interesting game. So, let's take a look at this the uh first thing I want to do is is take a look at the Steam pages. Let's look at the Steam pages and see, okay, how are they marketing the game? And then we play it and we see how it those two things connect. Because guys, at the end of the day, if you want to make games and you want to make money from games, you want to make sure that what you're saying about the game is true inside of the game. Otherwise, bad reviews. So, make sure you're telling the truth with your marketing, but doing it in a way that's spicy and interesting and catches people's attention. It's such a fine
line when you're marketing something. Okay? And this is probably my greatest skill. I'm an okay game developer, but I'm really good salesman, okay? And I I admit that freely. And I I think pretty much people know that at this point on my YouTube channel that Thomas is good at talking to a camera and selling, okay? I'll admit that the the uh the content on your Steam page is is you selling your game. The problem with selling something is once you make the the once someone makes the purchase, let's say you've done a really good job selling it, you're not done yet. You're still selling once they're on the other side of the purchase. They can still get their money back. And so we're going to take a look at the front side of selling and then the back side, which is the game, the actual game. So it's called the Berlin apartment. One apartment, many stories. witness turning points in our li in the lives of inhabitants of an apartment in Berlin over the course of a whole century.
I think it's a great idea. People like me would love this game. I don't think that this game is going to sell super well. And and just so we're talking about marketability here. It looks amazing. It's beautiful. It's it's so well done. Gra graphic design. It's the graphic design is amazing. The font choice here is amazing. My suspicion is this is just too boring for people, for most people these days. If I was in the 1960s and I wanted to smoke my cigarette, drink a cup of coffee, watch an Alfred Hitchcock movie, and then jump into the Berlin apartment and learn about these characters, that might be awesome. But it's not 1960. It's 2025, unfortunately. And we're competing with a lot of I don't know how else to say it. You know, friend slop stats like number grow up games which are not bad. They're not bad. They're just it's just a different
time. So, let's go ahead and uh open up this game and see how it goes. You all ready? It's called the Berlin Apartment Demo. Okay, let me check the chat. Make sure I've been ranting here. How's everybody doing? Do you only play demos that are on Steam? Yeah, Steam is a great way for Thomas not to get hacked. So, I'm going to play Steam games and not zip folders. Um, you don't think so? A lot of people do want to relax in games after work. This is true. A lot of people do. Is that enough, right? Is that enough for people to to for this game to make hundreds of thousands of dollars? I don't know. Let's play the game. Let's take a look. But that's my suspicion. Did we have games in the 1960s? Just go with the metaphor. All right. You don't have to argue with me about everything. I'm just kidding. Let's hit play here and take a look. Oh man, I love this. Okay. I wish you
know, you guys know me. I want to hear chick a solution here that the developer might be interested in to having your mouse over something and then using the arrow keys and getting this weird glitch. The solution I found was if I start using the keyboard my mouse this is weird. There's a lot of different solutions to mouse issues like this. But what I do is I actually move the mouse to the righthand corner of the screen. So that if I press down, it goes away like that. I know that sounds really lame, but that's what I do. And it helps not create this weird confusion here. See that? Okay. Um I wish there were sounds here. I wish there was a Guys, the menu is so important. I was I'm so sorry to just ramble and ramble and ramble and ramble, but I'm so excited about talking about
the front door to your game, the Steam page and the menu, the intro cut scene. That stuff is so exciting to me. And the reason why is because I'm I'm going through the trenches with you guys right now. I'm making a game and I'm play testing it right now and hopefully we can call this beta testing. It look it is beta testing but maybe it'll turn into alpha testing if you know what I mean. But during this beta testing process and this sort of play testing process, I'll have people come to my studio and I will have them play the game and I will write down on a notebook all the things they say. Right? I've mentioned this in my videos. One thing that one of the players said, I will say he was my brother, but I trust my brothers. very honest to me. He said, cuz [snorts] believe me, he was critical as well, but he said, "When I opened up that menu, I knew right off the bat I got my money's worth." And I said, "Well, that doesn't make sense. You haven't played the game." And he said, "There's something subconsciously that happens." I'm
getting chills. Sorry. It's it's it's sort of this I don't We'll see if I'm correct in my suspicions once the game launches, [snorts] but I've experienced this, too. Let me know in the chat if you've experienced this guys where you open up a game and just the menu itself and how how much attention to details in the menu. You already go in your head you sort of flag it and go okay I'm going to I'm going to probably leave a good review. It's just something that clicks in your head and you feel like you got your money's worth. So if I was the developer I would make this feel a little bit more intentional. Right. But really beautiful uh you uh graphic design here. We've got clean margins. Um it looks like this square is actually closer to the bottom lefthand corner
than this square here. See that margin here? If you can imagine a square here, this square is much smaller here when you hover over it. So, those aren't aligned, but they're trying to be. So, that they're close. Okay, let's go ahead and take a look here at the actual game, you know. [laughter] All right, let's see here. Good. We can choose our language right away. That's good. Voice over. Good. Start
once. It must have been the year 1989. A guy named Kia lived here, but he wasn't doing well. Day in and day out, always the same chores.
Sorry, sorry, sorry. I'm turning up the volume for you guys.
To you, always remember guys, if you have something that means something to you, never let it go.
OH, I'M WATERING THE PLANTS.
I love that frame rate of the stream. Yes. Y. Oh, [laughter] I I just love that so much. Please, developer, do not change this. That's exactly what I needed. Oh, this music's kind of turning me on now a little bit. Wow, look how pretty. So, [music] anyone still thirsty? This is great. It looks so good. Not sure what's going on there, but it looks great. Look at this, guys. Wow. I'm not going to critique the music just yet. I like I like Loi. I like Synthwave. Uh, I like um
what do you call it? What do you call it? The '9s um '9s synth. Um I can't remember. I used to listen all the time. I do like that, but I don't think it works for this if I'm being honest here. What was that? Watering the plants. I'll take care of you now. watering the plants. Hey,
Richard, you're just as w with it as I am.
Oh, yeah. Go, go.
Always waiting our turn. Never making a fuss. Work in the morning, home in the evening. To hell with it. We're better than that.
Cool. Okay, I watered the plants. Oh, this guy. I'm looking for the dead ones.
You, too, Claraara. What do you think?
Hey, Claraara, you look so much better now. Let's go over here.
No, my disappearing housemate still hasn't reported back.
Yeah, I think the music is kind of a problem.
Must be still in the mail.
Sorry.
It looks so good though.
Too funny for me. But don't worry, I'm not like Neo. I won't abandon you. None of you is dying on my watch. So, the music that I hear, I love that pause menu, by the way. Very good. And I wish there was a sound when I pause like paper opening. I This is what I hear. I don't hear that music. That music sounds like something in like a David Lynch um intro sequence like um Twin Peaks or something. What I hear is
[singing]
something really bouncy and soft and gentle. Um, I can use my own music as an example. There's no there's no uh there's no uh music, so I can't turn it off. There's no music slider. But yeah, something a little bit bumpier, bouncier, and gentler. Let me turn this down and sort of show you guys what I mean. Uh, this is just my opinion. Okay, I'm not like perfect or anything. I'm definitely not perfect. Um, let's see here. What could I find that's not going to get me flagged? Probably my own music, honestly. Um, so let's go find my own music and kind of give you an idea of maybe what I would Oh. Oh, we could do um Gosh. Townscape. Townscaper. Okay. Townscaper. This is the music.
This is the music. Ready, guys? I knew it. I knew I was right. I think I'm seeing ghosts. Can you guys imagine? And you hear like um you hear like the sound of summer through the windows with crickets and stuff. Let me let me pull that up here. One of the best things about this game is how it looks, right? And you want the music and the sound to match how it looks. And I feel like there's a disconnect. And this is actually true in my opinion with most indie games. There's a disconnect. Summer Ambience City. Hold on one sec here. Here we go. No, not Loi. Just ambience, baby. Hold on. One sec, guys. So, I'm just pulling it up on YouTube here.
Something like this. Okay. Do you guys hear it? Let's go. Let's take a look at the difference here. Oh, my body is just full of chills now. I want to plant I want to water my plants. Mom always loved her plants. Music is so important. Turn off the TV. So, that's just my thoughts, guys. Um, but let's get back to the what it was originally, okay? I just wanted to show you guys why I'm uh complaining about the music because I kind of have a feeling that uh a musical change could make a big difference. But let's go ahead and go back here to the settings. Whoa. What?
The settings don't exist anymore. Oh, there we go. Okay. Sorry. All right. So, this is a
I feel like [music] something just flew in through the window.
Yeah. Do you guys Do you guys get the vibe of or or do you guys understand kind of where I'm coming from? Okay.
Eric, you little snitch. Did you see anything?
No, nothing here. Nothing at the window either.
Thank you, Eric.
Yeah, we need to take out the river sounds. I agree. The river sound wasn't working. You are correct. Let's throw the airplane.
It wasn't a ghost after all. Something really did [music] flutter in a paper plane with writing on it. What is this? Airmail from the west.
What?
Hey, you there. Your orchid's [music] head is hanging very low. So is yours. Do you maybe need some water or someone to talk to?
Ah, there's a telephone number and there's more. Greetings from the other side.
What?
They're asking if I need someone to talk to, Eric. [music] Someone actually went through the trouble of throwing a paper airplane over the wall.
Over the wall?
There the hands of the biggest loser east of the West.
I get it.
Don't be so hard on yourself, comrade. At least you're reliable. Consistently failing. Okay, so the fish has like a German accent.
Eric, there's a phone number here. Do you know what that means?
Based on the area code, this number is from the other side. In other words, a fascist number. Calling it would be an incredibly stupid idea.
Ooh,
thanks for the assessment,
Romeo and Juliet. Okay. Uh, anyway,
I never knew there was so many ways to fold a piece of paper.
Yeah, the music also doesn't work cuz we're supposed to be in like
Looks like it's the easiest.
This is a herculan effort. this game. It's intensely linear and um that's tough because every moment you've got to design. It's it's hard and that's why I wanted to play this game cuz I have a lot of respect for games like this. They take a lot of effort. Um very cool. All right, let's
Whoa. Hello, mysterious stranger.
Thank you.
Oh, I can fold it. This is so fun.
I'm afraid alone won't be enough. At least not for me.
This orchid is not actually an orchid. It is in fact a [music] toad lily. My old housemate left it
behind along with me. No, I better leave out that part. Okay. Somehow I now feel like I'm being watched. Who are you anyway? Best wishes. Calla
guys, is this
now? Make a phone.
This is German, right? I'm so sorry.
Another one here.
It's German, right?
And kids are supposed to be able to do this because niece couldn't have done any better herself. Hope it doesn't affect the aerodynamics.
I have a band-aid right there. One side's a bit crappy. Oh, it's the 70s. Okay, it's the 70s, guys. Yeah, the music doesn't sound like 70s to me. Maybe, maybe it's the 80s. It might [music] be the 80s. Is it the 80s? It might be the 80s. Okay, let's go. I can't throw it.
Oh, pull up. Woo! Oh, come on. Let's try again. Okay, now we go to the 30s. Let's take a look. Oh my goodness. Am I allowed to show that on YouTube? Oh no. Oh no. I love Oh yes. This is so cool.
The telephone that must be est.
This is great. I love the lighting or the lack thereof. The the shaders are amazing. Listen to the telev [bell]
I am on my way now. Once I arrive, come down to the street when I sound my horn.
Must be really. I am old Esther and I do not feel like making such a long journey.
I know yourself, but we have no other choice.
Look at that. I got a cane.
Take your time. I will be waiting.
Have you packed yet?
I really don't know what I should pack. Esther,
do not worry, Ysef. We made a list together. Remember? It should be next to the telephone.
Yes, I have it here. Thank you, Esther. What would I do without you?
What would I do without
Pack your things until then, Ysef? [music]
Warm jacket, passport, lucky shoes, grandfather's pocket watch, [music] razor, journal, and maybe my treasured camera. Where should I even begin?
I don't know. Let's go find out what we want to get. Man, there's so much to look at. Hello.
Okay. Sorry. Jeez.
She cannot [music] hear me.
I've barely moved.
I've barely moved.
Wow. This one. She doesn't say hello anymore.
This looks so good.
She's not above that sort of thing.
I love this. Good music. Good music. Okay, so here's what we've got. We've got We were in the
1980s. The music felt like the 90s. I kind of feel like that if they were trying to go for an 80s vibe that the previous [music] scene didn't fully feel like the '8s. I was a little confused. And you may have been able to if I if I were the developer, what I would do is because I get what they're doing now. They want an era. They're trying to capture an era. What I would do with the previous sequence in the 80s is I would make it nighttime and just make it look a little bit more synth wavy. Um, yeah, that's that's probably what I would do. Look at that cool shadow. Graphically, it's amazing. Honestly, really really good. Okay, we don't have time to play everything all day, so we're going to we're going to hop on to the next game. Overall, that game was rock solid. Um, my guess my guess is that um the developer put a ton of heart into that game and that the story is rich and
very interesting. Um, it might be a hard cell. So, I kind of stand by what I said earlier. It might be a hard cell. Um, but maybe not. Okay, let's go ahead and uh let's go ahead and jump on to the next game. And just remember, for those of you here curious and you just joined, feel free to check out the Black Friday sale for Fulltime GameDev if you want to support the channel, support the podcast, but more importantly, support 2026 in your journey of uh making games, and who knows, maybe getting funded for a project with a publisher, maybe getting funded on Kickstarter, um learning Unity, GDAU, or Unreal, learning how to do 2D art or 3D art, learning from an actual indie game developer, and that's me. Um so check it out below. This is the biggest sale I've ever done. And uh I'll give you a shout out tomorrow in tomorrow's live stream. Okay. Um
sweet. Let's move on to the next game. And remember guys, stick around through the podcast or through through this through this live stream because we're going to vote on our favorite game. Really, it's going to be we're going to vote on the game that we think is the most viable. I think that's probably a best way to to put it because there's a lot of ways to vote for something. Um we're gonna or there's a lot of reasons to vote for something. So, I'll I'll try and clarify at the end of this live stream how we should be voting. Um, okay. Moving on. We're going to play a game called Fever Meme. Actually, let's take a look at the store page here. Um, while it loads up here, I'm going to copy that. We're going to take a look at the store page and see how the store page communicates um, this game. Close this here. Sorry. Okay, let me read the chat here. When we have a demo on Steam, how do we submit it to you for a chance to get reviewed on your stream? You should have listened at the beginning of the the stream.
Good grief. I say things over and over and over again and you guys do not listen. Head on over to Tom. I'm just kidding. Go head on over to Thomas Brushdev on X and uh I'll post something like this tomorrow. this and then you can just comment below. Um X is just the best place because it's super easy for everybody to just follow me and then hear from me when I have something to say or I'm going to be playing games. Um so this is from Aimbach on Tik Tok. That's the username. Um so let's go ahead and take a look at Fever Meme. Um we want to try and not get bias here by looking at anything else. So, let's try and hide that. This game is [laughter] a lot of good that did. Um, it's called Fever Meme. I actually really like I really like the capsule art. I like it a lot. I like it a lot lot. I think it's
really catchy. [laughter] Believe it or not, super simple. All right, let's hit play here on the trailer. Game is a cross between The Stanley Parable. Wait, hold on. The game is a cross between Stanley Parable, Undertale, and Rage Games Like I Want to Be the Guy. So, a giant cluster. That's hilarious. And the deeper you get, the less the fourth wall is respected. The game is a parody of of game design and laughs on the surface, but there is a deeper, darker story. I wouldn't say that. I would be sarcastic. Now, we'll see what the tone is of the game, but I would say something like, "This game is serious." [laughter] That's what I would say. This game is serious. period. [snorts] Um, I wouldn't I wouldn't explain the game. I could see what this game is just by this the the the the capsule art. Okay, let's go ahead and take a look here.
Library. Hit play here and take a look. Does the course go through GDAU in depth? In case of yes, in what way? Love the content. How about this? I'll say yes because I don't know what depth means. Maybe I don't know what level of knowledge you know. I'll say yes. Um, and if it's not for you, email me tomorrow. Instant refund. I won't even ask a question. You don't even have to email me. You can email my assistant. It's on the website. Big fat email address. Just say you want a refund and you'll get a refund. No questions asked. But I will say yes just because I Yeah, I mean I would say so. Um, but you're also going to learn a ton of marketing stuff. Um, are you a content creator? Yeah,
Fever Me.
Fever Meme is the first game I've ever finished and released on Steam. I truly hope you enjoy.
I'm just I'm getting tired of these AI voices, man. Now, Aimbach,
if that was your real voice, I'm sorry. It sounds like AI. If it was AI, let's put your real voice in there. But, Thomas, I don't like my voice. do it anyway. It'll make it feel more personal. All right, let's hit new game. Oh my goodness, I'm playing a lot of German games today. German occupied Wyoming.
Salvador here will guide you through the tutorial.
[laughter]
I love that. Hey, this feels good. I don't like the motion blur. I can't stand it. Hold on one sec. Nope. Can't turn it off. Oh well. I just don't like motion blur. I've never liked it. Hey, let's do a little vote in the chat. What do we think about this motion blur? Do we like this? Do we like the motion
blur? I wish there was footsteps. Even if it was just a static like three or four random sounds and it doesn't matter what the material is on the ground. He just slipped underneath the tile. Where you going, dude? Where's Salvador? Um, okay. Here we go. Here we go. Sorry, I got a reminder on my phone for something. Motion blur makes me actively sick. Yeah, we need to get rid of the motion blur. Salvador. Whoa. All right, let's go. It feels great, actually.
All right, the first actual map of the game. Good luck. Have fun. [laughter]
The tutorial was completely useless. And it was funny. Whoa. What the heck? This is definitely unreal. [laughter]
You died a stupid death.
That's great. I actually like this a lot. These are the kind of g I don't know why, but these are the kind of games that I'll play um in this at at my age. I just want to I want to move linearly through a map and not have to think. I guess we're going to subvert expectations here. There we go. That's actually really funny. I love that. Let's uh see here. Let me uh text my wife. Sorry, I got to text my wife.
Oh, I love to play games with you guys. I kept getting what? You don't like this XYZ? [screaming] It's never subtle enough. Motion blur according to cyber hellbot hell cyber cyber shell rev I agree it's always too much the problem with motion blur and bloom I will tell you is that when we change the resolution of the screen oftent times the motion blur and the bloom doesn't account for the resolution change so things get much blurriier and blurriier the lower resolution you go I'm not sure if I can do that here um No, I'm going to turn it to low. So, no shadows. Volutric shadows are removed for for that. So, anyway, yeah, that's a big problem with Bloom. I'm
actually having a that problem right now with Twisted Tower. Is there is there a sound of footsteps? There is. Okay. It's just not very loud. I'm gonna guess it's right here.
Nice jump, I guess.
Okay. Damn, bro. Got a wife. I got a wife. And I love my wife. By the way guys, if you ever want to know if the ambient occlusion or the global illumination or you you could call it the indirect lighting or real-time global illumination illumination. If you want to know if it's a screen space effect, meaning post-processing and it's not actually baked into the textures, just look at
the edges of your screen. Look at the edge there. Look at the top right, left, right hand corner. Do you see the uh it's the ambient occlusion is sort of like being generated. That means it's all screen space. The bloom, the volumetrics, the the real-time GI, all of that is screen space. That's just how you could tell. You could typically tell if it's an Unreal game by that. I could be wrong, but I'm probably not. It looks good. I'm not complaining. I'm just giving you some tips and tricks. That feels good, actually. Are you going to frustrate me? Are you going to annoy me? Let's see. Yep, there you go. Okay,
come now. You really should have seen that coming.
Those shiny spikes. You died from their shining before the spike. Thomas, when TT When is TT coming out? I've been
waiting for ages. Well, I'll tell you, I'm doing my freaking best. Do you know that this game here, this took five years to make? And everybody, and I'm I'm not making fun of you actually. I'm just I I appreciate that. I'm just being sarcastic. But this game took me five years to make. And every single time someone would ask me, like friends or family, they would ask me, "When's it coming out? Are you going to be done? Are you going to be done? When's it done? When's it done?" and they would look at me like I was um full of it that I wasn't actually making a game. And I would tell them, "It's done when it's done. It is. It will be done." Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Sure. Now I'm say hold on. It will be done when it's done. The same thing happened here with Never Song and that game. Actually, here's the cool box copy. this game here. Um, I was actually my publisher who was doing that. It was Z. He's a friend now, but at the time he was my enemy. And he was
saying, "When are the freaking game going to be done?" And I would say, "It's going to be done." When it's done. This This game though, I don't think I'll ever beat this game. [laughter] Sorry, I'm holding sprint and there's no sprint. That feels great. The jumping feels awesome. I love games with a really solid character controller. Um, Thomas, what's your favorite candle scent? Booty. What an odd question. Don't ask me that question again. There we go. So, a normal map would do wonders here. You can see the specular is just the specular hates this wall because the wall doesn't have any normal maps and it also doesn't have um a specular map. You could create some
cool texture with just an alpha channel on the albido. All right, let's go. I love I love just square sprawling
mailed by a flying bed of spikes. How quirky.
Booty beauty by Yankee Candles. Wait, so what do I do? Whoa. Mama, am I allowed to say that I love this game? And I have a a podcast episode coming out with Chris Sakowski. I think it's on Wednesday or Thursday. And he and I get in an argument about friend slop. And we get in an argument about slop in general, games that are just built to be fun and for streaming. And I argue with him and I I argue and I
argue for quality and quality and quality. But I'll be honest, right now I'm feel right at this exact moment I'm feeling like a hypocrite because I just played a game that was really honestly it was incredibly made and now I'm playing this and I'll be honest, I'm having more fun playing this. Um, so maybe I am a little bit more Gen Z than I thought. My brain just can't handle uh depth and and density and paying attention. I kind of wish that there was more of a jump scare there, like a louder sound. Um, here it comes. Let's go. Let's go. Yes. Back up, Thomas. Mama, let's go. Let's go. We got some really nice reflection on those uh spikes. Okay. Whoa, Thomas.
[screaming] [laughter]
This game is great. It basically it's all about tricking you.
This would be a great game to play like um I don't smoke weed, but heroin I great for heroin. All right, let's see here. Mama, make it stop. By the way, if you're just joining us, check out Fulltime Gamedev below. Black Friday pricing, baby. We've got Black Friday pricing. 50 freaking% off. Biggest sale I've ever done. So, check it out below. See if it's something you're interested in. And by the way, if you're a student of Full-Time Game or any of my art programs, which by the way, those are all free. Uh, let me know in the chat. Thomas, why are you shilling your course so much today? It's Black Friday, guys. Thomas always shills during Black Friday. it supports the channel and also by the way it supports Twisted Towers
development especially for the final stretch here. That was actually really fun. Um I will say this game if if I were the developer I would recommend in in I think it could go viral if this game had a creep factor to it. if it was if it was spooky. Like here's an example. Um I think I won't get flagged for Resident Evil 5 or four soundtrack just because it's a game soundtrack and they they usually don't flag those. Um but yeah, like if I pull up a Resident Evil song, here we go. Yeah. Imagine this if you just had spooky ambient music playing in the background.
Suddenly I'm like threatened, you know? Oh, thank you, Shadow Master. Thank you so much. [laughter] Just Peachy, what are you talking about? All right. Yeah. Do you guys see here? And imagine I understand the skeleton's funny, but but imagine if the skeleton's voice was like it'd just be spookier. And imagine if it was darker and dimmer. Look, take a look at this, guys. If you went with like a liinal space back rooms vibe. Let me show you what I would do. Sorry, I know I'm being annoying here, but the over-the-top silliness, it you can still have over-the-top silly
um with very creepy, very scary um jump scares and ambience. You can combine the two and it it can create this very David Lynch experience. Thomas, you talk about David Lynch all the time. That's because David Lynch is my spirit animal. David Lynch is creepy, almost I would say almost demonically horrifying and hilarious at the exact same time. It's possible. So, what I would do if I was the developer, let's go. If I was the developer, I would do this. Sorry that Resident Evil was getting really exciting. I would do this. one of our submarines. [singing] It doesn't matter necessarily, guys, if the game looks like it was made from,
you know, the blueprint template. It doesn't really matter. What does matter is, is it giving me a vibe that keeps me playing? And I will say the game is very interesting and fun and it's subverting my expectations which I really like. If you go with the creep factor though, if you make it creepier and scarier, you you can you can keep the the player engaged longer. If I feel threatened, I will be engaged much longer. So, if you create some really spooky like um shadows here and just make it darker. It's kind of hard to do here. Let me set it to overlay. Maybe that'll help. Yeah, there we go. Um I'll blur it a little bit.
Yeah, if you go with something like that and maybe warm it up a little bit so it feels kind of back roomsy, right? Something like this. And then obviously we want that to be There we go. I'm doing my best here, guys. It's hard to do lighting in Photoshop like this. But yeah, if you have something like this with this kind of music, wouldn't that be cool? You could still have the skeleton. You could still have him speak his Spanish. You can still have it funny. But you throw in creep vibes. All of a sudden, it's spooky and it has my attention. Okay, let's keep going.
Whoa, mama.
That's great.
I had the gravity turned off.
Okay, it's back on this time. Guys, do not ever do not ever talk about shocking my my Jebby ever again. Do you hear me? Jebby. Jeb, are you okay, bud? You want to go outside? He's looking at the door. Hang on. You see, mama. Okay, let's see here. So, I fly up there. I guess I probably need to go in the
There we go. How do you submit your game? How many times do I have to freaking tell you? Go to twitter.com/thomasbrushdev. All right, you guys ready to roll? Yes. Let's go. [screaming] Hello. See, this is great. Creep vibes all day long. [laughter] This is great. I also wasn't sure when I should even tell you, so I had the game randomly choose instead. This message will only ever appear once, so I apologize if you're in the middle of something when it happened.
If you end up beating this game, and let's be honest, most of you won't. Then I have something I need to show you after. This is great. This is exactly what I needed. But even if I wanted to explain why I'm asking this now, too fast. Too fast. Everything will make sense soon. Very soon. This is great. This is everything I wanted, baby. This is what we wanted. Thank you. I hope that the I'm sorry. So, I hope that the visuals, if I was the developer, I would drop the ambient light down significantly and start using some point lights, shadows, spooky music. It could go so
far. Mama, that's so great. I love that. Okay. Okay. Here we go. Yes. Whoa. That's great. You could have played like a a horror strike. like a piano strum. Like take if you took like a stick across some piano strings, something scary. Now, I will tell you if you had if you had a uh if you had a uh
Did that fake doornock sound get you killed while you were ASP?
That's great. [laughter]
I sure hope so.
That's awesome. Um yeah, if you had a Gman for this, it would be incredible. All we need, if I was the developer, all we need is one entity that's looking at us through glass windows or up high up in the rafters, even floating in the distance. Some singular entity. It changes the whole tone of the game. Imagine if we had Gman back there. Let me show you. And maybe maybe the developer will do this. What? Look at this, guys. Look how scary this is. Are you ready? Give me two minutes and it will all make sense. Two minutes and your mind will go, I think Thomas might be a genius. I should buy his course. All right, here we go.
Check this out. Watch. Obviously, I'm being slightly sarcastic. I was told by some friends that I come across cocky and I just want to say I'm not actually cocky. I'm very insecure if I'm being completely honest. All right, here we go. I'll just drop this down. And honestly, it's just that's so vibrant. I would get rid of that significantly. I just drop that down because Yeah. Look, watch. And then you take this here. Let me just fade it a little bit. And then you would put um you could put the skeleton, you know, you could put a man in a business suit.
One sec. Then shut up, says City Wizard. Shut up, Thomas. Okay. All right. Man in a business suit. One sec, guys. I'm just going to wrap this up here just to get sort of my point across. Obviously, hold on. Hold on. I don't want to show it to you just yet. If you had a guy standing right here, hold on. I know you can't see it. Maybe those both are just two ends of one thing. I mean, I I think that's pretty not too Well, how do I say this without coming across cocky? Uh I don't think that's too difficult to parse. Of course, I'm insecure and cocky at the same time. That's uh that's just how it goes when you're a
evil human being. Yeah. So, imagine if it was something like this, guys. You walk into this hallway and you hear this, right? Wouldn't that be great? And then you jump and he just goes and moves out of the way. What if he can't afford a voice actor for it? I understand. I do. You can get a solid like let's say you got all your lines done for this game. you could get voice acting for I know this is a lot of money for a lot of people. I totally understand but for like 300 bucks. Um so yeah, like this is what we've got and this is what it could be. I don't know what the developers fully going for, but you could you could make this so creepy um with just dim darker lighting and one singular entity that's sort of following you around. Um okay, let's keep playing here.
Beautiful. Okay. Sorry, that's not Discord. That's this game. It's just distracting you. That's hilarious. I hate that. [laughter] That's so creepy. Or not creepy. It's um very distracting. This is great. I love this. Oh, just hold on. Yes. Yes. Just got to jump with faith just like Indiana Jones. Okay.
Lava is indeed hot.
Lava is indeed hot. Here we go. Here we go. Skill. Do I play itch games? No, because itch games are zip folders. Mama. Okay, I think I figured it out.
Jump as late as you possibly can. It appears you suck at platforming. Let me guess, you're going to make it disappear. Oh, thank you. What was that? [laughter] I love that. Hey, I was watching a documentary. Um, guys, I was watching a documentary. Have you guys seen the HalfLife 2 documentary that it was released last year? I think it was last year. And I won't I won't annoy you with too much here, but basically it just talks about how valuable it is to always give the player something new. So every like five seconds, the player is getting something fresh and new. And that's why this game is fun. Uh every every 30 seconds there's something going on that's new and interesting to me as a player. This is why linear games are so expensive to make because the newness is orchestrated um with set pieces or dialogue or new
mechanics or triggered sequences, scripted sequences. Whereas, you know, a game like let's say Mega Bonk, what makes that game new and unique every 5 seconds is just the complexity of the gameplay and the randomness of it all. and and the player the player g be being given choices, gameplay choices. H I prefer I will say I prefer playing games that are like this, but they're just so much more expensive to make. What do you guys think about that? Let me know in the comments. I'm curious. Oo, okay. So far so good. I really like this game. Actually really do. Um let's move on to the next game. the last final game here, guys. I Yeah, I highly recommend watching that HalfLife documentary. Um, there is so much It is such a noble thing and then
we'll move on to the next game here, the last game. But it is such a noble thing to embark. This is proud of me to say because I'm making a linear game. It is a noble thing to embark on a linear game [snorts] because it's very risky to make, very expensive, very timeconuming. If you listen to the podcast with Jason Smith, he's creative of Cultic chapter one and chapter two. The podcast launched today, you will you will hopefully get a good idea of why it is such a noble thing to create a linear game because it's expensive and it's highly it's just very risky. It's kind of like making a platformer. Okay. Um Thomas, do you know you're part of the Unity Awards voting? Yeah. Yeah. So, I was nominated for the best stream or one of the the I Yeah, I was nominated for best streamer. And I will I will be completely honest. I went downstairs and I told my wife this. I said, "Honey, I was nominated for the best streamer. I don't have any time to try and push this thing." So, I didn't make a video about it. I didn't post on Twitter. I just sort of
accepted, okay, I'm not going to have time to post anything. I'm just going to probably not win. And that's okay. And guys, there's so many streamers out there that are so much better than me. So, I was like, let these guys win. Um, they deserve it. So, do you want to play Bors in Rome? Let's go. Boy, first thing I did, first thing I'll say about this game is I don't like the title. I don't know what that means. What does that mean? Bores in Rome. parkour and anything movement through painterly post-apocalyptic environments and dystopian factories. Create your stylish lines. What? Create your own stylish lines. Achieve the best times or just vibe to the dynamic post rock soundtrack. You know,
I don't like the title. I like the graphics and I like the idea. Parkour on anything. That's really fun. If this is linear, it might have some problems with marketability. If it's not linear and it's more like the skate, there's like a skate game and a lot of people hate it, but it's so Tik Tok. Um, it's so built for Tik Tok because you can just do all sorts of cool stuff, right, in this giant open world environment. This game would be really, really fun or I'm sorry, marketable if it was open. But I'm okay if it's not. In fact, I don't want it to be me personally, I don't want it to be uh open. I want it to be linear. [laughter] All right, be sure to check out that uh link in the description, guys, if you want to learn how to build a game studio from your bedroom. If you want to learn from an actual indie game developer and get 50% off full-time gamedev for Black
Friday, check it out below. There's less than 100 seats available already. It's selling like hot cakes for Black Friday. So, check it out below if you want to learn how to make games at GDO, Unity, or Unreal. And also learn how to sell a game to a publisher, sell a game on Kickstarter, uh, hit the Steam front page, get streamers to play your game, get press coverage. Thomas, who are you? You're just some YouTuber. I've done this multiple times. I'm on my third commercial release, so check it out below if you want to learn from an actual indie game developer. Okay, here we go. I wonder why this game has a Are we in 1920? We're not in 1080p. We might be above that at 20 something 2000 something. Let's take a look. Yeah, we're we're 1080. So, it defaulted at at 1080p. I'm going to trust the developer needs that. Um I'm not sure why the developer needs that.
Did it change the resolution just now? I don't think it did. Let's take a look. It's not changing the resolution. There's no save button either. Huh. This looks like sort of the default out of the box Unreal menu. And um which is totally fine. I don't have an issue with that. But it doesn't work. I love this music though. Let's play. Oh, that feels really good. Daddy. Here we go. Running. Running. Mom. Mom. Mom, do you like this? I'm running. Oh, that feels like I'm running. Mom. Mom, look.
Yeah. Run, run. That feels great. Good game feel. Yeah, just read the tool tip. What does it say? Oh, it says not currently working. Hold on. Where? No, it doesn't. Does it really? Oh, [laughter] well, there you go. All of this isn't working. Okay, got it. So, the one thing that I picked is not currently working. That's hilarious. Uh, okay. Look, Dad. Look at me. Look, I can run. I could crawl, Dad. Woo. Okay, let's go. So, I have a comment about the music, but we'll we'll talk about it in a second. Jump. Tap space. Big jump. Hold space.
Let's see if I die. Okay. I want to hear this. Feels amazing. I love the sound of my jumpsuit. So, this environment feels kind of asset, but we'll see. But then again, speed. Hold on. Let's read that. Vaulting. Hold slashtap space to vault. Keep holding space to vault to higher objects. Okay. Hold shift to speed vault. Jump to speed vault higher. Oh, that feels so good. A lot of these games, these parkour games, they just don't feel good. This feels so good. Oh, yeah.
Oh, nice. Look at that shadow. Mushrooms. Mom, wall climbing. Jump again midclimb for a boost. Jumping while near the wall is an easy way to get more height. Really jump again mid climb for a boost. There we go. Keep holding space to vault the ledge. Nice. That feels amazing. Oh, look at that. If you press Q. This is awesome.
There's something about the atmosphere in the music that it's not bad. I just feel like if you created tension and seriousness, something about the jumpsuit gives me Halflife vibes. I think it's just the orange and the gray. If we went with a more Half-Life tone, I feel like this game would be 10 times better. But let's let's keep playing. This is just the tutorial. I'm being kind of annoying. Okay, Thomas, read the instructions. Turn around and jump when you reach the top of the corner. There we go. Mushrooms. I'm not sure what the mushrooms are. That's okay. Woohoo! Yeah! [screaming] Wall running. Jump near a wall and press A or D to run. Well, I'm pretty sure it's uh [laughter] I was just going to say I can figure this out without reading the instructions. Oh, slippery walls, huh?
Jump near a wall and press A or D to wall run. Press space to jump off a wall. Jump near a wall and press A or D. Oh, I don't love that. But that's okay. Chaining wall runs. Yeah, Thomas, you win. Bar swinging. Are you kidding me? Hold left click and look at or jump underneath. I love this game. Hold left click and look at or jump underneath a bar to grab it. Press space to jump off the bar. Okay, so we got to click basically. Dad. Dad, look. Look up or down to control how you jump off the bar. Press W or S to swing while grabbing the bar. Okay, let me try and focus here. Lock up or down to control how you jump off the Look up or down to control how you jump off the bar. Press W or S to re-swing
while grabbing the bar. Okay. Look up for more. [laughter] What? I think I get it. Great sound design. Oh, I can get up. Got to love Unreal volumetrics. I'll be honest, I don't love Unreal's volumetrics. They make every game look the same. [laughter] I don't fully understand this, but It's not um It's not my fault. It's the developer's fault. I'm just kidding. Look up more to jump higher. Press shift while on the bar to vault on top of it.
Woo! That felt great. I just love that slide. Look at look at what I can do here. If I slide like this, I can like look at the ground. Oh, I want to do that as a child. This game makes me feel like a child. Extra hint. Press crouch just before hitting the ground to break your fall. Really? Okay, let's try it. Okay, I just fell into that uh green goo. Wait, what? Okay, so that is a glitch. You guys want to go in the pipes just
like Home Alone 2? Here we go. Oh yeah, [music] we're going to go on the fence. That was cool. So, it sort of told me where we're going to go. So, obviously the music is good. I just kind of wish it was like I mean, okay, let's just play the real Let's I need to stop commenting and beat this tutorial. Here we go. The mushrooms sort of guide you and tell you where to go, I think. Um, nice. Hey, it feels really good, guys. What do you guys think about this game? Woohoo.
If this game, this is just a side idea. I'm not telling the developer what to do here, but if this game was like called uh Ball Pit and it Wait, isn't there a game called Ball Pit? if it was called like uh playground or something and you're a [music] kid and you start out in this playground at a restaurant like McDonald's and then you go in the ball pit or you go down a slide and then it turns into this giant world and you play as this little kid and it's just crazy. Um that might be fun. That's just a fun idea thematically. I'm running around the mushrooms. I'm having a good time. What is that?
Bart mams are just hit new and trending. Congratulations, Bart. [applause] I love you, Bart. Good job, buddy. I'm proud of Bart. That's not an a hard That's not an easy thing to do. That is a hard thing to do. All right, here we go. Okay, kind of ready for this this whole tutorial to end here. I want to get to the city. Apparently, there's supposed to be a city. This game really does feel great, guys. The size of everything. That's a difficult thing to accomplish, but like um scale scale is a hard thing to accomplish.
A sense of scale and um yeah, hopefully that makes what I'm saying. Here we go. Not sure how I accomplished that, but okay. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Instead of immediately wall running, try to jump first to get more distance. What? No. Mama. I don't really know what to do. Sorry guys, my hands are sweating. My palms are getting sweaty. Hold my hand.
Not sure how I did that, Thomas. Okay, okay, okay, okay. I guess I could just go up this way. Yeah, there we go. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Nothing up here. Nothing down there. Extra hint. Instead of immediately wall running, try to jump first to get more distance. Well, yeah.
There we go. I don't think you guys know how hard it is for this developer to build this system without it being incredibly frustrating. And I'm not very frustrated. I feel pretty good. Wait, what? Oh no. I thought I was close to the top. NO, [screaming] NO, NO. Hang on. Okay. Okay.
Why? I don't understand. Sound design is really good. Do you guys hear that reverb? Why? Why? Why? No. No. No. No. No. No. No. This Yes. If this was multiplayer and more like open world and stuff, which I think I'm just on the tutorial. It would be incredible. And just just focus on these singular gimmicks, you know, these gameplay mechanics. I think that's all the de developer really needs to do. I would say give me a really serious kind of tense tone like you're escaping like um an apocalyptic government or something. Dystopian world. That would be cool. Okay, here we go. I can't remember how to grab those. Oh, I have to do
Tommy. There you go, bud. There you go, bud. There we go, buddy. One of them. This one is making sweat. We're going to do it. Okay, here we go. Why? WHOA, WHOA, WHOA. [screaming] Reverb is like the fog of sound design. Okay, let's do this. Here we go. So, what do I do, guys?
Okay, I want to go down there so I can reset. I don't understand. Do you guys have any ideas there? Well, that's a weird volumetric, but I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that's a weird volumetric. What do I do? Is that something I can't run on? I think I can run on that. Yeah. Sorry. I thought it was like a slippery thing. You know, gimmicks. Okay. I'm kind of ready to get out of this uh tutorial. This is a really great system though. I think the developers killed it. Okay, so apparently shift is not sprint and I've
been holding it the whole time. So, it's kind of like just a sandbox right now. Oh, I'm not sure if there's more. Okay. Okay. Go out there. Wait, what? Press me. Press me.
How? Oh, right click. I would definitely tell. Pretend you got a super cool collectible. Okay, so this is very uh unfinished. Okay, so I I love the music, but if if it were me, I would do this. Hold on one sec. If it were me, I would eventually, I'm not saying you have to do this all the time, but eventually you need to give the player something like this. [music] Imagine if this game was tense like the movie Cube or Saw where you're you're trapped in this or have you guys ever seen platform? Um,
it's sort of dystopian. You're trapped in this place you don't understand. [music] There's screams, there's people dying, or it's just tense and and there's you want to get out of here, right? You could put that into this tutorial sequence and play music like this. You could totally do that, right? And imagine if there was a voice like talking on speakers or something. You conquered my first task. The second task is not so easy. I've got your mother on the line. Actually, she's right here with me. Do you have something to say, Sandra? Please help me. I'm going to get killed. Mother, no. That stuff goes a long way with these kind of games.
What? Or even this. Here we go. Mother, I will save you. I swear on a family crest. I'm already getting chills, y'all. [music] I don't understand the bars, actually. All right, let me show you a better one.
You guys know I love this stuff. Here we go. I don't know. This game just gives me Halflife vibes. I think it's the lighting. Why? There we go. Woohoo. [screaming] Yeah. See what I'm saying? put this music every every once in a while. Give me something cool. Give me some trip hop. I'm so cool. Maybe not so much. Hang on. Let's see
here. Uh yes. A little dark. A little dark. [panting] How do I get up there? Oh, I got hurt. Cool. Okay, guys, that was amazing. Are you guys ready to vote? Um, in all seriousness, huge, huge congratulations to all of the games that, you know, got to be played today. That was really, really fun. Okay, so I'm going to put in the chat a vote. Okay, we're going to vote for our favorite game here. Um, let me go ahead and do that really quick, guys. And while I do that, while I put
it in the chat, one quick reminder, if you want to get featured, tomorrow in tomorrow's live stream on this welcome new students page or little panel here, uh feel free to check out Fulltime Gamedev below, uh Fulltime GameDev is currently 40, I'm sorry, 50% off for Black Friday. And obviously guys, you learn 2D art, 3D art, how to make a game, how to code, how to launch, how to beta test, how to reach out to the press. So check it out below. And by the way, if you're a student, let me know in the chat and I'll give you a shout out here in just a sec here. Okay, I'm going to go ahead and throw this uh this uh poll together and we're going to vote. And by the way, just while I put this poll together for those of you curious, just being completely transparent here, um Thomas, why do you do these ad reads and why do you do these Black Friday sales? Typically, I will say the last, you know, three years, um, I've definitely made income from my courses, but this year is particularly important because in 2024, I had funding or budget cuts for Twisted Tower, and it sucked. It
really did. It absolutely sucked. Um, so we had budget cuts and I had to let go of my entire team for the game. It was very sad. It really was. And I'm being completely honest, um, that was a really hard day for me. Um, so this year sponsors have really supported the game and it means so much to me. And also guys, these sale events support the channel as well and the game. So thank you so much for those of you who do enroll. It means the world to me. Okay. Anyway, which game, this is an important question. Which game which game do you think is the most? Let's just do this. Which game is the best game? Is your favorite game? I think honestly that's fine. Okay. What's the first one called? The Berlin Apartment when or Bors in Rome. I'm going to just
tell the developer. I don't understand what that title is. I have no idea. But I'm gonna call it parkour game. I would call it something else. for some reason that the the the the um the number 43 I think would be a really cool name for that game here. Let me show you what I mean. Um let me blur this and if you could do something like this. Um let's take a screenshot from the game. Bors in Rome. I don't understand that. I really don't. Um but you can imagine if it was called I don't even know what I'm looking at here. Um, give it a number and like create some really interesting mystery. Welcome number 43 to my maze. Where's my mother? Your mother is sitting right next to me. She's safe. Don't you worry.
I've created a series of tasks. No, not tasks. Yes, tasks. Parkour tasks. If you can accomplish them, you will meet your mother safe and sound. If you cannot, she will be consumed. What? No. So, you can imagine why a name like 43 could be really cool. Um, let's see here. So, I'll make the poll. I promise. I'm just having ideas here. And I wonder if this could be really cool. Um, big orange text on basically dark 43 coming to Steam. Anyway, I just that's just completely random idea. Uh Boris in Rome parkour game. How do you spell parkour? There we
go. Uh and then Fever Meme. If you guys remember Fever Me, it was that lava game. I'm I'll uh start a poll and I'm not going to look at the poll and I'm gonna wait for you guys to answer the poll. Uh while you guys answer, um I'll tell Well, I'm not going to tell you anything. Actually, I was going to vote for my I was going to tell you my favorite game and I was also going to make a prediction. I don't want to do either of those things. So, I'll keep this going. I'll keep this ad up. For those of you who want to join fulltime game dev, feel free to do so. But I'm not going to take a look at the votes. I'm going to let you guys vote and then I'll give you my prediction live here and also my favorite game. Um, yeah. So, let's wait for those to come through here. Is everything okay? Student here. I'm enjoying the course so far. That's awesome, Sean. Thank you. Um, Shadow Master says, "I'm a full-time
gamedev student." That's awesome. Oh, yeah. I told you I'd give you a shout out. So students, I'll give you a shout out here while we vote. I don't think we need action. Give me Give me says it's fast moving, but we need action. I don't need that. I don't think I don't agree that game needs action. It needs tension. So, like timers, um, an antagonist, some something to compete with. It It does need puzzles. Yeah, it could puzzles could be cool. There's There's not a lot there in the game except for the mechanics. Um, my worry is that we're praising this game and that it's just a kit, a parkour asset kit. It could be I don't think it is, but it
could be. But I think we should push that out of our minds. Um, yeah, I will I'm going to say, okay, I'll go ahead and take uh gave you my prediction here. I'll tell you the games that won the vote and then I'm going to tell you the games that are the best games. Uh, Bors and Rome won hands down in my opinion at like 70 to 80%. Then the Berlin Apartment, then Fever Meme. The games that are um Okay. Uh, the game. Okay. So, there the game that won the vote is probably uh
Boes in Rome. The game that is commercially viable, Boors in Rome. The game that I think is artfully the best game and and is just a solid title. Berlin Apartment. Okay, let's go ahead and take a look. You guys ready to see the vote? Let me pull it up here and take a look. All right, Bors and Rome won at 50%, Berlin apartment 39, and then Fever Mean is 12. Good job, everybody. [singing] That was a lot of fun. Thanks for hanging out today.
