are. Hello, Tail Hammer. How you doing? Come on in, guys. Come on in. Let's see here. Who do we got in the chat?
Good to see everybody. Hey, I wanted to say a huge huge before we get started on the games because there's three games that I've decided to play. And before we play those, I want to say a huge huge thank you to some new students. New students who joined the full-time gamedev program. Oliver B, Andrew P, Brittany M, Bryce, Nester, Havar, Cool, Daniel, Muhammed, Jeremiah, Hal, Rafel, um, Kenneth, Alp, welcome, welcome, welcome. Thank you so much for joining Fulltime GameDev. I hope that you learn a ton in the program. By the way guys, if you want to learn how to not only make games in, you can do Unity, Unreal, GDO, you can learn any engine you want, take your pick, 2D or 3D, learn any of those in the program, whether you want to do that or learn how to take a demo, find a publisher, or get kickstarted
kickstarted on the Kickstarter. Uh, get kickstarted on Kickstarter, hit the Steamfront page, um, get wish lists, all that stuff. get press coverage and ultimately start a game studio from your bedroom. If you want to learn how to do that, you can check out the program below. It's called Fulltime GameDev. It's 50% off for the summer sale. Today's the last day. This is it. This is absolutely 100% the last actually 7 hours left. I may let it run till midnight. Um but yeah, check it out below. And for those of you here curious, you're thinking, well, I'll just wait for another sale. This is the biggest sale I've done all year. Um, I do these quarterly, if that. So, this is going to be over for a while. So, this big sale event will end in a very short time. So, check it out below. You also get my 2D and 3D art programs and my YouTube program completely free. For real. This one's big. This is a big one. If you don't trust me and you think that I'm, you know, I don't know, snake oil salesman, all that stuff that a lot of course people are, just check out the
results in the reviews in the link below. Um, all these students went full-time, which is so freaking cool. Um, and that means, you know, raising money, working with a publisher, doing Kickstarter campaigns, selling their games. So, it's pretty sweet, actually. By the way, if you're a student, let me know in the chat what you think about the program. Um, I think that's all the shilling I'm going to do for now. Yeah, that's all the shilling I'm going to do. Okay. Um, you guys ready to play some games? Come on in. Come on in. Come on in. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Let's go ahead and open up our first game. Oh, thank you, Robert. That means a lot. Um, Thomas, how do you have so much hair at the age of 35? Uh, you know, nicotine. Uh, nicotine, nicotine, nicotine. Um, the first game we're going to play is come to an end. Okay. Um, and that is what she said. Uh, let's go to play
here. Hey, that's awesome. Robert Robert says, "I'm a student and I'm about to about a month away from releasing my demo." That's sweet. All right, let's go ahead and play this game. You guys ready? All right, let's see if we can hear the sound. I don't hear any sound. And I'm curious, man. I'm curious why that is. I'm gonna go to story mode here. Okay, good. There is sound. There we go. Okay. Um, first things first, I was just talking about this with um a podcast guest that I'm launching on Friday. Excuse me, guys. Just getting over a cold here. Um, one thing that I've noticed with a lot of indie indie devs, what separates like a professional indie game developer or AAA developer, AA developer, uh, what separates a professional from someone who's just getting started is things are slower in
an indie game. And what I mean is everything from hovering over stuff is really slow. Instead, just go when you hover being reactive, it's difficult for indie developers to do. And me and the podcast guest kind of decided why this is. And I think it's because indie developers are proud of what they've done. They're excited and impressed with what they've done. So, they want to show all the animation and the transitions. They want to show the jump animation. Oh. They're proud of all these animations. The thing is though is you won't be right when you launch your game. You won't be thinking about that. So, just go ahead and get it over with and make things snappy. Animations really quick. Boom. Boom. Boom. When I hover over stuff, when I jump,
when I shoot my gun, I see so many people with uh gun animations that are like this. That's not fun. Be reactive. Okay, be reactive. Be quick and fast and snappy. Okay, does that make Does that make sense? I don't know if it does. Let's play story mode, but that feels great. I'm so sorry I'm sniffing, guys. The maze. Chapter one.
The maze.
Okay, you need to cut black. Where am I?
You, my friend, are in a labyrinth that I've constructed myself. It's quite impressive, if I don't say so myself. Anyway, there's only two ways out of this labyrinth. One, finding the exit located at the end, and two, death. You have 15 minutes to escape. Good luck.
Okay, that wasn't
that wasn't scary at all. And the reason was because of the voice acting. I'm trying to help the developer. I want to help the developer. So, here's what we're going to do. I'm sorry to jump into so many things so quickly. Um, let me show you a really easy way to make really great scary like an ominous puppeteer kind of character. Um, a jigsaw character. Okay. So, let's come up with something here. I've trapped you in the maze. You have five days to find out the air. You have five days to get to the ending. Until then, you're going to be tortured and slaughtered. Okay? Something like that. First, go hire a voice actor for one. Don't do it yourself because it always sounds like the developer. If the developer does the voice acting, everyone knows. They can tell. Even if I do it, that's why I go and hire somebody. But get them to whisper into the microphone like this. Okay? Something like that. Okay? So, let me try again. You have five days to exit the maze.
If you don't, I'll kill you. All right, just do the normal thing. Don't be afraid to just go ahead and add some freaking pitch correct or pitch change. Just do it. It's a trope. Everyone does it, but it's scary. Okay,
you have five days to exit the maze. If you don't, I'll kill you.
All right. And then you can even do this. Watch. Add a little paw stretch. Okay. 2.0. There we go. And I'm just going to have this at the bass layer. It's going to make it sort of sound like there's demonic spirits around my voice.
You have 5 days to exit the maze. If you don't, I'll kill you.
Okay. It's super easy. That could have helped so much. But instead, we got like a you are in a maze. We're going to be very mean to you. Um, okay. So, let's go ahead and play here. No, no, no. What? All right. I think we have an Unreal game here.
Oh, but I love these kind of maze games. They make me so happy. Okay, let's keep playing here. Let's keep playing. What do we got? What do we got? What do we got? Oh man, I freaking love mazes. I don't know why. Oh, cool. Okay, now we know where we need to go with that key. I like that. Good sound here. Good ambience. I like it. I like the thunder and the rain and the fog. It's spooky. Really nice. Okay, so there's no sprint. It's pretty straightforward. Whoa. Nice. Okay. Okay. Honestly, I love these kind of games. Makes me happy. It's not super profound. It's not very unique. The flashlight doesn't really do anything either. Oh, you click and hold. Interesting. That felt really good.
Blood Hunter incoming.
Oh no. Wait, what?
Are quite fast.
That wasn't fair. That wasn't fair. So,
what we need to do Oh, you need a
What the hell? Where am I?
My friend are in a labyrinth that I've constructed myself.
Ready?
Okay. So, that wasn't fair cuz there was no way for me to know that was going to happen. And when you told me a blood hunter was incoming, you told me about maybe a split second before it happened. So, I don't know. And I don't even know what I'm supposed to I think I'm supposed to use a flashlight. So, we'll see here. You need to get make it easy the first time when a blood hunter comes. I would darken it a little bit cuz the flashlight doesn't even look like it works. Stay back. What? I don't know what to do. Hunter has been
what? Okay. They will throw you around like a
hacker sack.
What the hell? Where am I?
You, my friend, are in a labyrinth that I constructed myself.
So, I don't know what to do if I don't say so myself.
I don't know what to do and I can't skip. There we go. Go. controls. Sprint is left shift. Okay. Okay. There is a sprint. It I don't know exactly what it it doesn't seem like it's doing anything. Okay. What do you guys think I should do here? Let's see here.
See, the problem is I don't even want to I don't want to keep going cuz I don't know what what I'm doing wrong. Um, let's think here. What What should I do? the flashlight. Oh, I almost got killed there. Okay, so now sprint works. That's weird. But it said space is jump, but I can't jump. See, like it says jump space, but I can't jump. I can't jump.
Incoming.
Just walk it off. You'll be fine.
Maybe I just don't know what I'm doing wrong here. What the hell? Where am I?
You, my friend, are
okay, let's keep going. One more try. Am I crouching? No. Okay, I can jump now. Yeah, it wasn't jumping earlier. Now I can jump. So strange. I don't know what that sound is. It's so weird. If I press spa shift twice, you like you have double speed. It's strange
to be beaten into a pole before they feed on their children. Use their bones as toothpicks. What is that?
What? A Come on. Having fun. Okay. I'm not sure what I was doing wrong there. Um, yeah. I Let's move on to the next game. I'm not I'm not sure if that was fair. I just feel like I'm doing something wrong. Do you guys know what I was doing wrong here? Let's let's um let's jump to another game here and then maybe we'll come back to that one when
I'm feeling a little bit more because I feel kind of dumb right now and I don't know why. My brain feels like it's dumb and I'm like maybe I'm dumb. Um but let's play this game here called Loop Pip. I just see the word poop. Loop. Loop it. Okay. Oh, give me a sound. I can't press anything. What in the world? Okay, so you have to press X. So, give me space and enter there. Now I'm in the wrong language. So space and enter didn't work, nor did the mouse. So there's sort of an accessibility issue there. Uh, and then let me know I need to press X. If you're going to force me to press X, let me
know I need to press X. Let's try again. Okay, but now enter works. Wait, was that was it there? I want to be fair here. Did Did it have it there? No, it doesn't say. So, yeah, that's kind of a problem. All right, let's press enter here and get get started on Lupip. Lupip. Lupip. [Music] That's cool. [Music] The forest is in danger. Please save our
sisters. [Music] Okay, [Music] you could jump. [Music] Nice. The artwork looks great. Seriously, looks really good. Oh, nice music. That feels good. I like that. You can rewind time to like certain points. Let's see how uh Oh, interesting. Okay, that's really cool. I like that a lot. Rewind. [Music] Oh, I think I know what I need to do here.
This is great. [Music] Good teaching, Dev. Good teaching, dev. Where'd he go? Oh, give me them coins. Oops. How do I jump? Oh, up. What are you saying, Bumblebee? You can reset your temporary trail. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. [Music] Oh, let's get that. Sorry, it's it's weird for me to jump with up. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Can I get more? Nope. You can lock and unlock your temporal trail with S. Ooh, I'm not going to remember all this. [Music]
Ah, it's Z. Is it Z? [Music] Nice. Giving me Kirby vibes. Oops. Sorry, guys. Okay, I'm figuring it out. Sorry. That is a great mechanic. I love that. Very cool. Whoa. It's kind of mindbending. [Music] Oops. Sorry. Feels great. Music's good. Ambience is good. Rock solid, baby. Let's go. [Music] This one seems polished in every near way, said Logan. I totally agree.
[Music] Nice parallax in the background, too. Good use of color theory. [Music] You might need to use rewind to get somewhere faster. Okay. Pay close attention to where your temporal trail is before rewinding time. Okay. [Music] My brain cannot handle this right now. [Music] Oh gosh. Go. Yes. Woohoo! Yahoo! [Music] I love that music.
You could drop down from small platforms. By the way, have you seen my sister around? No. Sometimes there might be hidden walls, hidden things. Things hidden behind the walls. Okay. The question is, how do you get there? Well, I don't know, you know. Oh, thanks, bud. This game is teaching me really, really well. I'm having a blast, too. I could play this on Switch. I love this. My kids would love this, too. So, let's figure this out. Oh no, it's another puzzle. [Music] I guess I just need to go up there. Here we go. [Music] Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go.
Come on, Tom. I don't know how I did it, but I did it. I like my brain being used. It feels good. It's not really fair that my brain's being used cuz I've been using it all day. That is so cool. What a fun little concept. Here comes the music. Pay attention to the color of the blocks. They say a lot about their behavior. Purple, for example, moves back and forth. Okay, let's go. [Music] I don't know what I am. Am I a uh am I like a avocado? Yeah. Oh, that feels good. I'm just going to use my uh brain power here. [Music] Oh,
so I need to start it here. I think go. Oh no, I can't figure it out. Yes. Yes. See, I don't know exactly what I'm doing, but it's working. I like it. [Music] No, no, no, no, no, wait. What am I doing? Oh, okay. Wait. What happens if you don't get those bumblebees or those uh beehives? The name of this game is poo poo. Pe. Let's see. Peipoo. Leipu.
Lupip. Wow. What? It's a strange name. Loop. Loop. It's a great game. Seriously, rock solid. [Music] I could listen to this all day while I work. [Music] Oh no. God, will you help me, please? Can you help me figure this out? So, I really don't have any complaints. I'm trying to think of like anything that I can offer for like constructive criticism. I don't have anything. It's great. [Music] Oh man. [Music] Okay, so we got to go over here.
Oh, I love that the music goes away. [Music] It's like you you have to like change your brain to be fourthdimensional. It's really hard to to think about what we need to do here. [Music] I think I need to go up there [Music] like really fast or something. I love how he's carrying a little a little hourglass. Little cute little boy. [Music] Oh my word. [Music]
I don't know. I don't know. [Music] My head hurts so bad. [Music] Okay. How do we how do I figure this out? It's too late in the day for this. Climb up there. Wait a few seconds. Jump down and click the red button. Then up. Okay. Okay. Okay. I think that's it. [Music] That's a great idea. Okay, here we go. [Music]
Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. And actually, I already knew that I needed to do that. Um, I was just trying to be nice to the chat, right, dude. I can imagine how wild these puzzles will get. It's a brilliant concept. Look at that swimming animation. [Music] It's adorable. [Music] Let's wait for it to break down again. You guys ready? Here we go. [Music] We're getting there. Yeah, that's great. I love that music. Who wrote this music?
Maybe I need to stay down there. [Music] I think that's what I needed to do. Okay, so here's what we're going to do. [Music] Hang on. He should stay down there while I go up there. Okay, [Music] I could pause him. Are you serious? All this time, but it doesn't work. I have to do it midair, don't I? Wait.
I have do it like midair. Uh, okay. Well, let's jump into the next game. I think we've got we've got a really good idea of what that game is. Um, I feel guilty about the first game. I feel like I don't I didn't give it the time, but there was no like tutorials and it didn't I don't I don't know. But let's go ahead and play Beyond the Doors. Beyond the Doors. This looks cool, actually. Oh, it's unreal. Your copy can't press buttons. Yeah. Okay. Let's see here. Okay. There's no hovering. uh up and down doesn't work for menus. Just make sure you get that done, developer. And it is a that is a heavy uh request or it's a big request to do that. It's very difficult to get all of
the different interchangeable game pads and keyboards and mouse working button. Give me a hover effect. And okay, there was no there was no clicking. There was nothing. There was no music. So, we just need to do all that. Welcome to Beyond the Doors. Let me explain some game mechanics to you now. Head towards the computer to learn your daily task. Oh, okay. The interaction options will be listed. It's funny. It's just like um it looks cool. I I won't complain. Press the number of the option you want to apply on your keyboard. Turn on the computer and then sit at the computer. Well, that felt good. This feels really good. I like that sound effect of the walking. It's really crunchy. Wow.
Whoa. My mouse is Something happened with my mouse. That's not good. Okay. Uh, new tasks will be sent to your mail every day. You can follow your task here. Click by or continue by clicking on the mail. Okay. New mail. Miss Cellin. Hi, newbie. You need to send me a sound a sound of level one plus from door one. Reward $25. Send me a sound of level one plus from door one. Now we need to collect sound. Collect the recorder and receiver devices from
the table behind you. You can move the divi Wait. Collect the recorder and device receiver devices from the table behind you. You can move the devices to your inventory with two hold. After collecting the devices, go upstairs and go to door one. I don't quite understand that. Three read. What? I don't understand that. E select. Okay. Sorry. The controls are a little confusing. Um, you can grab, hold, and read. And E is select. I just don't know what one, two, and Okay, that's one. Grab two, hold. I don't know the difference between grab and hold.
Okay, I think we need to go collect sounds with the recorder. Grab. I really like these graphics. Can I open here? Locked. Yeah, I just I would just have it say locked. Oh my word. Really great graphics. I I think the the the the controls and the teaching of the controls is a little confusing. Bare minimum. It should it should at least be intuitive. And I don't know if it is. I'm not quite sure what that means. What do you guys know what this means? One, two, three. Turn on. What?
Where did it go? I'm not sure what lock doors. I'm not sure where I am either. So, or what I'm supposed to be doing or who I am or why I'm here. Give me some exposition. Um, that would be awesome. And I can't go back to where I was or so there needs to be some kind of indication that the doors are locked. So put a chain around them. Put a a wood wood bar across it. That's what we did in Twisted Tower. Something so that I don't have to check every door every time. Okay, that So this one make that make that keep that the way it is. But this one, remove the handle. Um, maybe put some like a Yeah, put like um bars over it just so I know which doors I can
open. I just don't know. This is what I'm confused by. Okay, I'm trying to figure out this UI. Um, what is that? What? One. So, I press one. Nothing happens. Am I missing something? Y'all help me out here. Is Am I missing something? Okay, I could scroll through here. Okay, that's not one, two, and three are not buttons to press. They're just They're just identifiers. You scroll and then press E. That's what you do. Okay. Record. Start. Got it. Okay. Turn off.
Can we get a vote in the chat? Is that intuitive? Is it not intuitive? Say yes if it if you think it's intuitive. No, it's not intuitive. I'm about as dumb as a bag of rocks, guys. Um, which is good. It's good to have a dumb bag of rocks playing your games because that's going to be a good chunk of your players. Um, yeah, it I would say that that is not intuitive. The one, two, and three cuz I could press one, two, and three, and it look it moves it, but it doesn't select it. So, that's confusing. I feel dumb here because I'm like I've ever played I don't think I've ever played a game like that where it's and then you can also scroll through one two and three four down here. So there's this huge disconnect of like what does E do? What does scroll wheel do? What does space do? What does click do? So the solution, if the developer's
curious, the solution is um what is the solution? What is the solution? bare minimum the solution is to put a little icon that shows E next to each one to select it. That's that's about all you might need to do or or a menu pops up. up. It goes just like we've got here. And each one you've got different buttons to press. You can you can grab it by pressing Y. You could
turn it on by pressing X. But I can imagine that might get confusing if you've got four different um interact interactions that you can do. Okay. Well, let's go ahead and grab it with E. Okay, I've got it. But the thing is, guys, I can grab stuff by clicking it. I don't know what grab and what's the difference between grab and hold and clicking and even if I if I scroll down to turn on and click it doesn't do the turn on. So, I'm not quite sure what the solution is there, but it's it's not very Whoa. It's not very um intuitive. All right, let's go ahead and go through and play the game. Sorry. Gold star for the graphics, though. Um, I would add, if this is a horror game, I would add some horror music.
Something like that. Uh, ambient sound as well. This sounds like a backrooms game, but it doesn't look like a backrooms game in terms of the silence. So, if you've got environments that don't look like back rooms, and by the way, the reason this doesn't look like back rooms is because it's it's populated with stuff. Back rooms games are liinal, meaning there's nothing there. So, if that's the case, give me some like ambient sound like thunder, rain hitting the roof or something like that. In fact, I could show it to you why I think that would be helpful. Give me just a sec here, guys.
This helps so much. All right. Anyway, let's uh Where do I go? I can't jump, which is fine. That's where I was. So, what am I recording? I'm sorry. What am I recording? Show last. Now, we need to collect sound. Collect the I would say now we need to record sound. Collect
the recorder and receiver devices from the T. So is there a recorder and a receiver or is it just one? You can move the devices to your inventory with two hold. Okay. Okay. Let's drop it. Okay. Now it's okay. It's just not intuitive. Um I would try I would really rework a lot of that or at least try to. Um, now we need to record some sound. After collected the device, go upstairs and go to door one. Okay, so the problem with this is that you're you're giving me like five pieces of information and well, it's really only two things, but because of the confusion with the controls, I totally forgot that we need to go to door one. Also, I wouldn't say in that tutorial message, I wouldn't say go to door one. I would highlight which door I
should go to. Um, maybe put a a big one there or something or put a light on it. Give me some kind of signposting. Oh, not one. E. Okay, I knocked. What? What? Okay. Um, let's lock here. I can't do it. Wait, what? Let me knock. Okay, the selection stuff is down below on the left side of the screen, but I can't knock. Okay, I'm not hearing a knock, so that's why that's confusing. Door one. Where's door one?
How do you know that's door two? Where's door one? The instructions are so clear. You think so? Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm wrong. I could be. It says door one. Really? Where is it? Downstairs. I just had it. I told you guys. Oh, it says it. Door two. Use your brain, Thomas. Okay, that's door one. Is it Am I wrong or am I wrong? Or am I right? Here we
go. Can I open it? I don't think the instructions are clear. Now, pick up the record and place it on Place it on door one. Okay. left mouse button. Okay. Okay, Thomas, you dummy. Congrats. You have placed your first recorder. Turn on and note the hash code of your device with the five note. I don't think my brain can handle this. You have placed the first recorder. Turn on and note the hash code of your device with the five note hash option from the recorder menu. Okay, don't forget start recording with three. Things are going to get interesting now. Select the receiver from your inventory. Receiver. Okay, I got to go get the receiver. Receivers are used to transmit data of the recorders you place to server
computers. You can place receivers on walls just like recorders. As you can see on the right side of your inventory, the signal strength of the distance between you and the device you last placed is listed as good or bad. You will see the signal strength change as you move. Place the receiver in one of the areas. It's This is just too confusing. It like Okay, guys. It could be that it's just been a long day for me. It really has. But I think we should take a poll in the chat. Is this easy to understand? Say easy. Is it medium to understand or is it hard to understand? Easy, medium, hard.
Yeah, it's a lot for me to to grasp. So, I'm sure it's an easy I'm sure the the loop is easy, but you got to teach you got to teach dumb players like me. Okay, Murray is genius, but everyone else is saying hard. Okay, so it's not just me. Uh, turn on and note the hash code of your device with the five note hash option. I got to note it. Okay, let's turn it on. Okay, now let's note that this is crazy. I love I mean I kind of love the complexity of it. I just wish it was taught better. Note hash. Okay, I notebook I noted my uh I noted the hash. I don't know what I I don't know what that means. Um well, let's see the last tutorial message. Start and then start recording. Okay.
Okay. So, if it's recording, I would I would make it turn red cuz there's no indication that that it's recording except you change the word record start. I feel like that the the the mechanics of this game are actually pretty cool. Like my my inclination is that this game is actually pretty cool. There's something interesting here, and I'm I feel excited that I at least figured this out so far. Things are going to get interesting now. Select receiver from your inventory. Receivers are used to transmit the data of the recorders you place. Oh, by the way, this isn't real. So, actually, there's no sound. Um, you can place rece I was I was just thinking I really like the ambience, though. Things are going to get interesting now. Select receiver from your inventory. Okay, I got to go get a receiver. Receivers are used to transmit the data of the recorders you placed to server computers. You can place receivers on walls just like recorders.
As you can see on the right side of your inventory, the signal strength of the distance between you and the device is good or bad. Okay, so let's go get a receiver. Whoa, cool. There's something about this that I kind of enjoy. I don't know. There's something about it I kind of enjoy. It should not say hold. It should say equip. Okay, there's it's a lot of usability issues and teaching issues, but the the game itself might actually be great. It might actually be great. And that's why I want to give this some time, okay? Just hang tight with me, guys. There might be something pretty awesome here. So, where do I place it, though? Right, that's the question. Place receivers on walls just like recorders. As you can see on the right side of the inventory, the signal strength and distance between you and the device you last placed is good or bad.
Place in one of the areas with a good good signal strength. Remember that the chain you create has to go to your office in the basement. So place it wisely. Okay. So, where is the receiver strength? I don't see it. It says that you could see it on the right side. I don't see it. Oh, it's down there. It says one. Wait, maybe pick up. Okay, I can pick them all up. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Hold.
Okay. All the receivers, all the recorders. Got it. Okay. Okay. It's just not intuitive to me. All right. And if you guys want to make fun of me, you can. But my theory is that this is It is actually kind of confusing. That's my my theory. Okay, so I have to Okay, the the receiver and the recorder look so similar that sometimes it's hard to know which one I was equipped, but Okay, that's my re That's the recorder with the hash. There's different hashes down there and I don't know what that is. And then the receiver it says server computer bad debugged null last placed bad. Now, I know I know it says that. I know it says bad, but
it says as you can see to the right side of your inventory, the signal strength strength, it's not to the right side. It's to the left side. That's why I'm confusing. That's why I'm confused. It's to the left side. Um, last place. Good. What does last place mean? The stren the signal strength of the is the of the distance between you and the device you last placed is listed good or bad. Okay. So the receivers they need to go I guess I just place them on the walls going all the way to the recorder. I mean that's that's my assumption. Isn't it? It's got to be right. Isn't this Oh, I got to turn them all on. Turn. Okay, more instructions. Turn on the O and open the receiver interface with three use. You will see inputs where that you can type hash codes. Wow.
Okay. Okay. God, can you help me? Please Lord, don't don't let me be humiliated in front of these people. Enter the the recorder hash code you just noted into this input. And then I kind of like this. It's kind of like it's it's really strange. I've never played something like this. It It's like It kind of respects the player in a very brutal way. Enter the recorder hash code you you just noted into this input and then click the connect button. Okay, let's turn it on. Whoops. Okay, turn on. Okay, it's on note hash. So, I need to enter the hash.
What was it? What did it say? Turn on and open the receiver interface with three U's. Okay. And then I got to enter the hash code of my other one. So, okay, hang on. I kind of like this. How do I get out of this menu? I can't get out of the menu. Okay. I don't know how to get out of the menu. I know, but I I don't I want to get out of this menu. Oh, escape back. It
doesn't do anything. If I press escape, it doesn't I can't get out. Uh, what about E? Nope. So, I can't get out of this. Last time I played a game like this, it was like a game where you go underwater or something and the developer was really pissed at me because I just didn't understand it. I didn't get it. Alt F4. Is it right above your hot hot bar? No, I cannot get out of this menu. Uh, let's try and type in a hash code.
I kind of like this game. I I wonder if there's something special here. I just want to be able to get out, you know. Um, no. I'm wondering if it's a game where like you're like a ghost hunter or something. No, escape doesn't do it. I'm pressing escape. Okay, there it goes. What in the world? Um, so remember I made note of the various hashes. I just want to figure out where my notes are. So, I made a note. Okay, there's there's the hash for is it the hash for the recorder that I have in my hand or is it the hash for the recorder I placed?
Where's my notebook? How do I get my notebook? How do I get my notebook? Okay. How do I get my notebook? Does anyone know? tab. Whoa. Okay, I fell asleep. I know. But where? How do I So, I want to be able to connect. I'm going to just write it down.
So, I placed a recorder up here. It's recording. And if I There's the hash. There's the hash. But if I know the hash with E here, I just don't know how to open my notebook, right? While it while in use, press N. Okay. Oh, it's right there. H. Okay. Thomas N. Stupid. Okay. We connected uh recorder and
receiver connected successfully. To complete the network, continue the same process by noting the receiver hash. If you want to check the distance between you and the specific device, you could select the debug option from the device. Check the signal strength from the debugged information on the left side of the inventory. Now you connect to your server and check the network status. Note the hash code of your last receiver you placed and go to the server computer. Okay. So, what um I just don't know what all those No, I didn't know I had three hashes recorded. Oh, it recorded the sec that that one twice. So, and that one is my hash. Okay. So, you can't connect to itself. Maybe you can. Okay. So, we're connected to the the recorder. So, that's good.
Um, what was what did I what did he say? If you want to check complete the network, continue the same process by noting the receiver hash. I know, but like what? Okay, so I just guess I have to do this. What just happened? Okay. So, I can't get out with escape. It sort of freezes on me. It's just frozen.
It's frozen, guys. All right, guys. My kids are screaming downstairs. It has been an interesting live stream. Um, I don't know if this I don't know if I've been fair with any of the games to be completely honest. Um, instead of doing a a legitimate poll using the poll uh straw poll, I think I'm just going to ask you guys your opinions of the game as we wrap up here. What are your opinions of the games? First thing I'll ask is which game was your favorite game? Poo poo. Peoo. Um, let's see here. Yeah, I just feel like I haven't been fair today because this game this one I felt like I I didn't give enough time.
Um, all right. There's this game here which has come to an end. There's Lupip and then there's Beyond the Doors. Which one was your favorite game guys? Go ahead and comment below. Lip. Loop. Lip. Yeah, they're all very different games. Yeah. The Mango Game is awesome. Yeah. End is to ra. Okay. What is that? End is to raw. End is too raw. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if come to an end. It It did. I did have trouble understanding what to do in that game. And I don't think I was warned about the enemies early enough. They just sort of pop out of nowhere, you know. Um, so a
lot of peoop or loop peep. I'm gonna be honest with you guys and tell you this. Um, my favorite was actually Beyond the Doors. There was something really really interesting about that game and um it it really makes your brain hurt like kind of what what it is. I think it's very special, very unique. And my my opinion is it's actually potentially a really solid game. Like for real, there's something about it that's interesting. Now, let's let's take a look at the trailer and see maybe what we missed. It's really fascinating. If I were to play a game, I would probably play this one. If I had to be stuck and play a game, I would play this one. So, you connect receivers.
So strange. So if the developers watching, I just want you to know I'm actually very interested in this game. Throw trash away. Okay. Is there any jump scares or anything? That is so interesting. Yeah, it just seems like a game that's made from a very strange mind. Okay, guys, that's all we got time for today. I got to go downstairs. I get to go downstairs, hang out with my kiddos, hang out with my wife, eat some dinner. If you guys want to check out Fulltime GameDev below, uh, feel free to do that. It is the last day to check out fulltime gamedev, so be sure to check it out below. Hey, I may not be the smartest person playing games, but I do know how to market things and I know how to sign deals with publishers. I know how to
make games. I'm really good at making games. Um, I know how to do great 2D art. Um, I know how to do YouTube. And hey, that's what I teach in this program. You're going to learn everything I've learned in the last decade of making indie games, securing deals with publishers, getting funded on Kickstarter. I've done all of this two three I've been signed by a publisher three times. I've done two Kickstarter campaigns, both of which raised about $100,000 each, so I do know what I'm talking about. And also, my students, hopefully, they'll say the same thing because I have plenty of students who say that they went full-time. So, check out the reviews below. See if it's something you're interested in. Get 50% off and also these free programs as well. This is my biggest sale so far. This legitimately does end soon, okay? So, be sure to check it out below. I love you so much. Anything else? I I may actually try and play this game some more. I I really am interested in this game.
Despite the fact that pee poop was an amazing game, this one is like there's something really unique here. So anyway, love you guys. Thanks for hanging out and please forgive my stupidity if there was some parts of the live stream today where my brain was just farting. Although this I'm sorry this game is confusing. I don't think I'm going to let that go. But that I think that might be the point. There's some stuff that is is like way unintuitive. There's other stuff that's like no, you just need to think. So I think the developer needs to parse between okay what was confusing about the tutorials versus what do I actually want to be mindbending?
