This new initiative aims to honor top talent in the 2024 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 competitive scene.
The media platform Breaking Point, in collaboration with the commentary channel The Flank, has announced the inaugural BP Awards to recognize excellence within the 2024 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 competitive scene. The initiative aims to celebrate top talent through a combination of community voting and expert evaluation, highlighting the influence of content creators and professional players in the Call of Duty League ecosystem.
The awards process involves a multi-tiered selection structure. Four categories—including Best Play of the Year and Social Team of the Year—are determined by community participation. Eight additional categories, such as Season MVP and various role-specific player awards, are decided by a panel comprising professional players, coaches, and media representatives. A final set of four awards, including the Champs MVP, will be determined by the organizers following the 2024 Call of Duty League Championship, scheduled for July 18–21 in Allen, Texas.
The awards ceremony is set to stream on Twitch and YouTube on August 2, 2024, preceded by a preview event on July 26. By integrating these accolades into established digital channels like The Flank, the organizers seek to formalize recognition for competitive achievements while fostering deeper engagement within the Call of Duty community. This effort underscores the growing role of independent media platforms in shaping the narrative and cultural recognition of professional esports talent.
