B.L.U.E. NOVA Release Announcement

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced the upcoming 2027 release of B.L.U.E. NOVA, a new-generation cooperative player-versus-environment (PvE) shooter developed for the Steam platform. Set in a futuristic narrative where humanity faces extinction in the year 2200, the game tasks players with reclaiming the future from a rogue artificial intelligence known as EVE. The title emphasizes large-scale multiplayer cooperation, supporting up to 30 players simultaneously on the battlefield.

The core gameplay mechanic, the Ring System, distinguishes the title from traditional shooters by facilitating spontaneous collaboration. When players gather within a designated ring on the map, they trigger an Infinite Attack mode, which provides super-strengthened, unlimited ammunition. This feature is designed to deliver a high-intensity, exhilarating combat experience that encourages social interaction and strategic positioning among allies. Players can customize their experience through various hero selections and equipment upgrades, such as specialized armor.

B.L.U.E. NOVA will follow a free-to-play model with optional in-app purchases and will support Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese at launch. To build momentum for the 2027 release, the developer plans to showcase the title at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, where attendees will be able to view exclusive teaser footage. This announcement aligns with GungHo’s broader corporate strategy to expand its global footprint by delivering high-quality, innovative gaming content to an international audience.
