IGG Inc.’s first-quarter results for 2015 outline the company’s performance as a global mobile gaming developer and operator. The primary objective of the report is to provide stakeholders with an overview of financial health, operational strategy, and market positioning. During this period, the company demonstrated a strong focus on mobile-first development, with mobile games accounting for 93% of total revenue. The group maintains a vast international footprint, supporting over 240 million user accounts across more than 200 countries, managed through a decentralized structure of regional offices.
Financial performance in the first quarter of 2015 showed a 21.5% revenue increase compared to the first quarter of 2014, reaching $53.6 million, driven largely by the success of the Clash of Lords series and the launch of Deck Heroes. However, revenue saw an 11.4% decline compared to the fourth quarter of 2014, attributed to new European Union value-added tax implementations, currency depreciation in Russia, and a cyclical lull in new game releases. Despite these headwinds, the company maintained a gross profit margin of 69% and an adjusted net income of $14.8 million.
The company’s strategy centers on mid-core mobile titles, supported by a robust R&D pipeline that includes plans to launch approximately 30 new mobile games throughout 2015. Operations are bolstered by a self-owned advertising platform and a global workforce of 780 employees, with a heavy concentration of R&D talent in China. Looking forward, the company intends to leverage its global infrastructure to penetrate emerging Asian markets, such as Japan, Korea, and Thailand, while continuing to explore strategic mergers and acquisitions to enhance its technical capabilities and market reach.
