Counter Strike GO | BackSeat Gamer Episode 002

[Music] that's up backseat gamer second episode it's time you're gonna get to see some real gaming yes this is the episode 2 so it is my time I guess we'll just I'm I'm the even so you're the odd numbers then first game yeah so what is this program about alright so here's how backseat gamer works we know that everyone out there who's a game streamer is streaming themselves playing a game that they're good at that they love or you know whatever so Brandon's idea to kind of switch up the format is - he loves games that are completely different from games that I play in love and I love games that are completely different from games that he plays and loves so what we're gonna do is every week we nominate a game for the other person to play where they play it but the person who's good at the game is just the coach completely hands-off all they can do is suggest or advise and then the person who's not

good at the game has to carry out the strategy or to try to actually do the things that are being talked about yes a little background where game developers have been in the industry for a long time we have other shows too long that pretty much centers around game talking about games talking to game developers and this is our only show that we actually play games and so it's my turn to be the backseat gamer I'm gonna bring you back to the classic and this is a game that everybody knows I spent countless days and hours in a PC cafe with my friends playing this very game it is counter-strike a pc cafe yeah see that we're going way back so you're not you know have you been on these PC cafe I know what it is bro I always have played my place it was an all-day ordeal for me like a my friends who were really big and counter-strike not only had our own computer setups but we would like to go and play with other people locally locally right and these were the times

when people will stab each other in said cafes and we hear those things like hey we should go there and we would spend like literally 10 hours straight just sitting next to their playing match after managin on in the land setting it was awesome how much did it cost back then for like a full day full day and man it was like 20 bucks maybe it was thinking another bad Saturday oh it was wise one movie makes a hop corn you've already blown that up basically two hours yeah as a teenager you don't have much to do less you know or even have places to go because you don't have a vehicle right most of these signs my mom or their moms would drop us off and it's free daycare for them right now it says teenagers flying it got pretty heated sometimes but no one stabbed each other yeah I went to the piece of cafes that was uh in Huntington Beach okay the ones in Garden Grove where all the vietze in all the Asians hung out they just take it way too seriously I only say that if you know Garden Grove it's in California it's

just where all the Asian gangs hang out so we stayed away from those places Garden Grove dude Hey look I go to that area I get some bomb-ass Wadud yeah hang out because now God Nobles are heavily like Asian gang area but a lot of fond memories and I'm huge in first-person shooters so when I thought about a game Tulare this is a game that we we all know but it's the most reliable shooter that it just boils down to just shooting skills okay all right all right so I got no like high level loot to kind of exactly there's no loot there's no perks none of that [ __ ] again no no air drops none of those like killstreaks that polluted the game in my opinion it just got way too crazy okay right now it's just me shooting Imani mono with a Glock all right all right so we're gonna switch over and I'm gonna look at I set it right here all right

you see we got the settings I'm gonna hand did you pick black site on purpose you turn the first thing you end of it black seat gamer all right now let's just see how Larry plays so you got to click your window to the rain I'm assuming it's Wasley go so just for context I've played like the regular Counter Strike attack when I was in college my roommate that sounds really good at it and making excuse no seriously no I'm giving context just so that they know we're not bullshitting okay I have not played Counter Strike let alone go you can pick your map let's see hello this is fine I don't even know it's they're all gonna be new to me unless anybody does you know D doesn't Lisa like classic Counter Strike the orange looking sand looking yeah and map yeah well you really didn't play counter sure no really no I'm serious Wow we definitely play different gates yeah that's why we made this show okay so what you want me to do how do I pick though what's inventory all about now okay you don't care about inventory

stats a bit but well it's okay you signed up for this and you chose the game and you could have picked any other game I need this man I'm surprising if I really played but if I lose this your fault just this isn't work it I coached my ass off less I just as soon everyone started with counted strength no way I started Unreal Tournament oh my god real tournament was like my first real camp shooter and I'd never let go of unreal that's like a designer shooter entry yeah like artists usually start with counter-strike I remember counter-strike looking very real and I always loved the idea of like terrorist Counter Terrorist or whatever they called it Beckman right now all this [ __ ] means perks what are these me purse these are just people okay yeah so yeah all right this filling out with people goods auto-select yeah [ __ ] where's my new slide button oh you you're in the game all right so you just could go hey really update the crafting it looks good shift to run or no run you just run regular is to run shift is to walk in Bell sight no aim-down-sight come on or

you know only sniper guns can email us you're getting shot at you better run what's cool I'm good where's your partner did he's a [ __ ] you did okay look he's got purple look at that the gun was purple I don't this is the beginning yes this is just kill everybody until the game yeah this is a free round all right but this is the actual map that we yeah this is the map you should walk around and memorize it as I'm trying to do that's what we call a headshot Larry you got hit shot it on but yeah you should walk around and try to like press the trigger button so you so I'm so far away that I can't almost eat that chicken we're done yeah we're gonna lose yes so counter-strike has like gotcha [ __ ] so the trick with this game because of its birth control you to see the green cursor yeah right so it's always good to just tap and never to

hold on go and shoot anyone okay oh it's this one you can actually yes go so same as this one you want to just tap burst and you never want to yeah you have better aim with that the reason why I need this is because I'm I'm literally so far from the monitor if I see someone on screen yeah they're about the size of a grain of rice the cool thing about Counter Strike each gun has a very specific type of control bursts Wow eight shots to the face this gun lists up where I feel like a lot of the Call of Duty or a shooter gains kind of just lost that there's not really a huge emphasis on what type of gun you have it's just it's just shoot and kill and they're dead after that right so there's a certain skill with each gun that you have to master to be really efficient in it all right this guy's did mark my words man how long is this round lasting I think we're playing

oh it's 7 minutes and 37 seconds until why does it need that long I think we're playing right now nah yeah yeah there's no way the lobbyists eight minutes oh you're in deathmatch go to team deathmatch exit out of this crap I want one one good kill well I mean this is good for you to practice you're hurting your teammate it's over he's bought Brian now [ __ ] Bob right see this is where I got my knife skills mysterious can we kill your bot bro did ban this guy he's bragging that he's a bot I've been slicing his legs I don't think you can kill your teammate that's probably why but this is actually unintentionally a good way for you to warm up Jesus Christ all right so you exit out of this I came to see my mouse that's the that's the first problem where are you I don't

should be that's a little better it helps I'm not gonna lie it helps yeah okay so what's what should be my general strategy when playing a game like this so you're always gonna start with a pistol all right right they have an awesome system with this where you have to earn your money to buy better guns okay so what people are facing the so everything that has a point with killing obviously surviving longer all that correlates to the currency okay that equals to what kind of gun yet so the better gun you get some people are very strategic about it they don't buy like the most gun at the beginning they save up for the the sniper gun at the end so stick with your teammates sure don't go solo usually you can get more

kills that way okay especially as a beginner and when you're shooting right don't go for the trigger shots right just tap tap tap tap and aim around the chest area sometimes you get lucky with the hit show there hey boss yeah you always want to go fetch with your mouth speed like if you can see he's still 16 or 1 I just want to see so I'm going to edge look how much I'm moving the mouse this is edge to edge of the screen next time all it's just in check settings you can change your now because since this is full-screen windowed mode it's actually using your windows mouse sensitivity I see overlay if it was full-screen mode then it actually overwrite Brandon needs to get to those polygons quick hahaha you don't even need a mousepad this big you just this is how I played son this is the laziest Mouse settings ever look

at my hand I don't I can hit the whole screen just with this little bit of actuation yeah Larry likes using this whole table as the mousepad this is all twitch muscle man you want to work as in a little box as much as possible such an if this is like energy efficiency to the max gotta eat 3 grapes worth of car worth of calories to be able to game for the day this is how the pros do it man I'm watching the like I can't even see how much I barely can see how much my hand is moving but I'm literally covering the whole screen side to side oh my god myself it's roasting this yet no not yet they should be backseat gamer one actually plays ones aflame Oh what is he Oh nah I know people are playing with seats and lots of the lobby searching for players can you do just like um oh I think we actually disabled the Stu from

our search I think it's searching oh okay yeah but that should still mean that like cancel the search does too so take everything else out yeah because it's the most popular map which also means the most people play it and so you'll find something quicker yeah whenever I hear or think of counter-strike is the only one I remember was the like dude all these maps are really classical like this is where ecology befalls this party there's so many good maps especially from the modern warfare days and that gets refreshed in loss and if I want to go back to play those maps I can't yeah like I can't play the current Call of Duty and rule 6 whittle it down to what modern warfare controls were I have to be used to black ops control it's all completely different and so when I like one game I think you were talking about the RPG the Wow classic thing it's the same mission like I like one iteration I

can't go back to it and just play with people if Activision was smart I mean I would love to like if right before the whatever the new game was like how they did their 4 DLC cycle yeah just drop a free map pack which is literally just a polygon for polygon reconversion of maybe just 5 classic Maps yeah yeah that you get for free that the whole community gets to celebrate and build up clamor for the new Call of Duty before the new college address yes I would love to keep playing you know some of the same Maps over and over and over and over just with the new rule set the same distances same everything and obviously the reason why I say port is because for example with advanced warfare yeah the maps that existed before our game wouldn't have worked right out of the box because there was art that just wasn't in places where it should have been that you can like grapple hook or blue stuff right so that obviously a little bit of care and concern needs to be in there well yeah I'm sure they're current creating some kind of online consistent with all Disney World which which is crazy to think it took them

more than 10 years to finally get on it but I'm glad at least it's coming they haven't announced anything but do I love that I feel like I know I actually had a lot of fun in advanced warfare multiplayer I was fun doing all the place Morrow RIT was super fun you like modern - I like the knee slide boot I like all the [ __ ] that we added anyway advanced warfare like super fly I thought of all the ecology titles I liked and and in could skip it would be from modern warfare 2 to advanced warfare those are the two games I feel like we really changed it I like orbital slam Duncan the satellite like it's a stretch but that was fun a lot else was super nice meteor but I wish we had better animation like behind the back through the legs yeah yeah I know I really really push - it could have been if you're gonna go left yeah as well what is going on why is this the counter-strike gaming counter-strike simulator waiting simulator

what's this 105 mean info searching for players and servers estimated time four minutes there's five thousand players searching maybe I'm too shitty at the game that they can't match me up with anybody those are my stats you're making fun I'm - my performance in that Lobby has kicked me out but it looked at my overall stats I got your one game oh so then maybe you're too good is there internet for although what's the internet thing youto this all looking to play I'm playing on request don't firm request me I'll never look at yes you've read his favorite sound effect than any games alright just choose all the maps and this is ridiculous yeah just better your chances backseat gamer let me play I just wanted a CI at least pick the game that people place this number one twitch early

500000 81 and 500,000 are currently in a game I know alright wait time alright so when what none of your friends play counter-strike no a lot of my friends play counter-strike and you never at this time I was playing final fantasy xi [ __ ] probably starting to hear about world of warcraft definitely playing Phantasy Star Online in highschool and Unreal Tournament when it came to shooters I was either quake 3 or Unreal Tournament I was in the arena shooter style splash and it was wrong it was tutored Delphi Joe home quake 3 get quick especially like with hacks and like some of the stuff people were doing quake 3 was really fast place I think Unreal Tournament Unreal Tournament 2 was like just right for me oh yeah that was like my prime level of you will never see me better in any shooter than I was to man with that flat

cannon yeah it's over for you bro okay where you were if my gun can hit you you were dead yeah I think yeah I think that's where the context stopped for me where it was too sci-fi I just love modern shooters and I just know I like I learned all my guns from this game yeah and I was asking my friends I got so used to playing this game is like also is the p90 really that much stronger than the clock as they do it's it's gonna both kill you don't worry about it he's really calibrated the same way what put a lot of respect for me and gunplay was I went to that shooting range in Vegas yeah I shot like five different girls game those guys are scary [ __ ] I don't want to be in front of any of them use like some fault I was like there goes my arm there goes my dick yeah wow man the 8k though that 80k with something else it is frightening would you tell the growth around guns

it's frightened yeah that Rambo kind of gun we shot ahead like a flower petal effect when you shot and you saw like eight smoke yeah there's coming out yeah yeah there's a certain there's a certain point where it got pretty irresponsible with the gun maker he's like you need these many different guns to kill you thought they all they're all scary and loud man to protect yourself taking yourself but the machine you never know when the government's gonna come try to take your guns away that's why you need your gun yeah pretty much Wow we're literally playing and really any boy at work this is know that kid the game is full of people it never touched here the stats five minutes search time four minutes and six seconds estimated we've been in there for 257 six thousand players searching Wow 150 thousand servers online 448 yeah there's no reason why he's taking this long is there something that we're doing wrong maybe that's because everyone's trying
