Popremierowy Raport Sprzedażowy: Car Mechanic Simulator 2018
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 achieved significant commercial success within its first four days of release on the Steam platform, selling over 75,000 units following its July 28, 2017, launch. This performance represents a substantial increase in scale compared to its predecessor, Car Mechanic Simulator 2015, which sold approximately 12,000 units during its initial four-day window. Concurrent player counts also saw a dramatic rise, peaking at over 8,000 users compared to the 1,000-player peak recorded for the previous iteration.
The financial impact of the release was immediate, as the title recouped all production and marketing costs within the first day of sales. This revenue was bolstered by strong attachment rates for downloadable content, with the Mazda DLC and Dodge DLC selling over 47,000 and 46,000 units respectively. While retail market data remained unavailable at the time of reporting, digital sales were geographically concentrated in Europe as the primary market, followed by North America.
Despite the strong sales figures, the launch was met with technical challenges. PlayWay S.A. acknowledged the presence of software bugs reported by the community and initiated an intensive patching process to improve the game's average user rating on Steam. Looking forward, the company is leveraging this initial success to expand the title’s reach, with active development underway for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and mobile platforms including iOS and Android. This expansion strategy aims to capitalize on the established momentum of the franchise across diverse gaming segments.
