Koei Tecmo reported a year-to-date decline in Q2 FY2025 with consolidated sales of 31,268 million yen and an operating profit of 7,964 million yen.
The company maintains a full-year sales forecast of 92,000 million yen, driven by anticipated recovery in North American and European markets and the Entertainment segment.
Digital sales now constitute 83.1% of total revenue, while overseas markets account for 72.1% of unit sales.
The future release pipeline includes major sequels such as Ninja Gaiden 4 and Nioh 3, with several titles currently in development for the successor to the Nintendo Switch.
Operational costs have increased due to a workforce expansion to 2,871 employees, resulting in 13,080 million yen in employment expenses.
Core franchises remain primary revenue drivers, led by Dynasty Warriors (24 million lifetime units), Nobunaga’s Ambition (11 million), and Romance of the Three Kingdoms (9.5 million).
