PlayWay S.A. established five new joint-stock subsidiaries on July 24, 2020, to decentralize production across Warsaw, Katowice, Krakow, and Wroclaw.
PlayWay maintains majority ownership in all five entities, holding 70% of Game Crafters Studio, SimRail, and DreamWay Games, and 80% of Soro Games and GameFormatic.
Four of the new subsidiaries plan to raise a combined 6.1 million PLN from third-party investors, which will dilute PlayWay’s stake by a maximum of 8% per entity.
Each company was founded with an initial share capital of 100,000 PLN, consisting of one million shares valued at 0.10 PLN each.
SimRail will focus on transport simulation in partnership with SimKol Sp. z o.o., while GameFormatic is dedicated to VR adaptations of existing group IP like Car Mechanic Simulator.
Game Crafters Studio will specialize in strategy titles, while DreamWay Games has begun development on projects including Espresso Tycoon and 872 Days – Siege of Leningrad.
Soro Games is currently developing a portfolio that includes the titles Renovators and Bank Robbery.
